Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This is ridiculous I strongly suggest Revdex.com take this rhetoric into consideration when rating the company Yes, in March I did offer to mail the defective light to Global Collision The first time I have heard back from these people was today, almost months later I should drive around for months without lights? Further, they had returned the light to the manufacturer once already It failed again Of interest, the other light is beginning to fail Are they suggesting I should remove it for four months or drive miles for a repair? Complaint: [redacted] I am re*ecting this response because:It is not clear if Caliber Collision is a new name for Global Collision Further, from this letter, it is not clear if Caliber Collision is assuming responsibility for Global Collision’s guarantee If they are not, the issue is dead The broader question: Will they change their name again to avoid responsibility? This should affect their Revdex.com rating.If they are, why did it take months to respond? The closest associate is roughly miles That's not a feasible solution.Regards,* [redacted] ***

Global Collision was a separate business which was purchased by Caliber Collision who is a much larger national chain of collision repair service shopsThey did not, however, also purchase and assume their debts, liabilities and warrany issuesAs a measure of good faith they have been honoring some of Global Collisions past warranties but this case is not justifiable for two reasonsOne, Global's past warranty provision is that it must be returned to a Global Collision facility, regardless of whether or not the owner of the vehicle relocated to an area with no Global repair shopsCaliber could have warrantied this if given the opportunity, which leads to the second point. The customers complaint is that the light is defective and no longer worksIf it could have been shipped back to us then we could have returned it to the manufacturer and they would have given us a new part, which we could have then shipped to the customerWe simply cannot be handed a bill from a dealer across several state lines and be expected to reimburse without the ability to confirm the issue and be given an opportunity to correct it ourselves
