Review: I was engaged to be married May 7 of 2016. My fiance and I booked the Inn at Vint Hill for our wedding and reception, placing a $5000 deposit in May of 2015. The money was loaned to us by my parents, [redacted] of Manassas. In the beginning of October 2015, I discovered that my "fiance" was married, using a false last name, and had stolen over $30,358 from myself and my family. I contacted Vint Hill, explained the situation, and asked that they refund the $5000 because of the fraud. (My "fiance" signed the contract using a false name)[redacted], the owner, refused even a partial refund, even though the contract states that I am due $2,500 in the event of a cancellation. At this time, she is refusing to speak either me or my father in order to resolve the situation.Desired Settlement: At best, we would like to receive the full down-payment of $5,000 back, since my "fiance" mis-represented himself and signed the contract under a false name. If nothing else, we would like Mrs. Donaldson to honor the terms of the contract and repay us $2,500.
