Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Yes we did cash the check that was sent. That money was money that was owed to us. It wasn’t to make us “happy”, it was money that was owed to us for a system that was purchased and was not received. Again, we received nothing for a drip system that was paid for in 2015, and here it is 2018 and I have yet to receive this. We did get a valve and that was it, the valve that we received was a product you can buy at Home Depot for $10. No supplies, no labor, nothing.  As per the invoice, he charges $300 per zone not $600. If he charged us $600 for the drip system, then he owes us more than the $171 that was refunded. We are also not interested in him or his company finishing the work. They obviously weren’t competent enough to finish the job in the first place, so I’m certain that’s still the case. As far as coming over for a special trip for coming to measure the grass, that is false his lack of time management is his own fault. He was in town and in the neighborhood and town for weeks, but never came over to finish the job and would never return calls. As far as digging up the valve boxes due to this “settling” in our foundation is also false. He had to dig up the valve boxes because he was going to finally start our drip system.   The issue he brings up about some sod repair work that a contractor damaged is also incorrect. What actually happened was that a contractor (his classmate and friend) that the builders called came to fix a concrete pad that was lifting in the back yard and those contractors damaged the sod around that pad. We contacted our home builder and asked that the damage be fixed, due to us just getting our grass and sprinkling system put in. The home builder stated that they didn’t know of any landscapers in our area to fix the work. Unfortunately, I suggested that Jacobson could to fix the damage due to him already putting in our sod. The home builder was going to contact him and pay to have the damage fixed. Jacobson also blew them off and never came and fixed the damage. The emails back and forth from me to the builder show this, which I will include. The statement about him supposedly being blamed and responsible for the damage is completely false. I am also going to attach several emails from the builder and myself asking about when Jacobson would come by to fix the grass by the concrete pad. Ron our builder and I exchanged an email on August 6, 2015 that says ‘the landscaper who did they’re sod is doing more in Kemmerer next week. He said he’ll stop by and fix it for me.” This was from the concrete contractor who emailed this to Ron. I emailed Ron the builder back on September 14, 2015 asking if he knew when Jacobson was going to come fix the grass due to him not returning my calls. Ron emailed me back on September 14, 2015 stating that he was going to follow up with Jacobson. So not only was Jacobson ignoring me and not responding but he was doing it to my builder. I will also attach a Facebook Message with myself and Justin N Jennifer Jacobson (his and his wife’s Facebook page) this is dated April 24, 2015 asking when he would be able to get started on my grass. There again no response but on May 14, 2015 he came to my house with the Invoice and the invoice number is #[redacted]. My boyfriend also paid him that day as well. We paid $2,360.00 upfront, which looking back on it now is not smart at all.  Again, in that same message on Facebook it is dated August 28, 2015 asking if anyone got a hold of him to fix our grass that the concrete contractors messed up. I am also asking about the drip system that I never received.     The situation about doing some dirt work due to the settling of the soil is partly true. He did bring us some dirt; however, the home builder paid him to do that because he was unable to come from Tremonton, Utah. The builder obviously talked to Jacobson and he agreed that he would dump some dirt behind my fence that I had to put around my house foundation by myself; he did not help in this step. So, yes he was a part of this dirt work but he didn’t do it out of the goodness of his heart, he got paid. I will attach an email exchange from Ron my builder and myself regarding the fill dirt I needed due to the ground settling and my concerns with using Jacobson again to get this job done dated June 26, 2016.    The other issue about compacting and grading the dirt around our house is also partly true. He did come do those things but this was because I was paying him to put in our sod. He leveled and compacted the dirt BEFORE he placed the sod, not after. In his Invoice dated 5-14-15 invoice #[redacted] he clearly puts equipment fee to grade and prep property with soil conditioner in the description box and I am getting charged $300 for this work.     Again, in closing, we never got the equipment, supplies or labor that we paid for. We never got any of the drip system other than a $10 valve. They came and had to dig the valve for the system because they neglected to put it in, again not my fault. There was also never a supply line put in like they claim. The supply line for the drip system is the same as the supply line for the other valves for the system. To me, it seems that we paid $300 or $600 like he says for a system that we never received. The money we received wasn’t even half of what we paid for. We received $171 refund for basically a valve. We paid everything that we owed and then some because we never received the system that we paid for. I believe this information needs to be documented so that anyone else that uses their company is well informed. I also learned that you should never pay for the work in full before they work is complete. After the check was issued and he received payment, he was on his own schedule and was in no rush to finish our work. I called him all of the time and left voice mails and he never returned my call. It was a constant battle and extremely frustrating to try to get this company to finish the job that they were paid for. My boyfriend and I are both hard working honest people. We both would just like to put this whole mess behind us, but I will not do that until this situation is resolved. Thank You for your time.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

The complaining customers husband acualll had made a agreement that after they installed there plants that they would call back to install the final half of the drip system. I had left a 140 dollar balance on there acount to be paid when completed. They never did call back to finalize the system and...

just asked for there money back. I had already left a balace unpaid on there acount but I guess that wasnt enough. I have already sent certified mail an aditional $171.00 plus they still had the $138.00 balance remaining which is a total refund of 309. Over halfe of the 600 dollar system was installed. I went above and beonde to repay. They have cashed tge $171.00 check.

Justin J[redacted] did send me a refund check and I did cash it. It was money that was owed to [redacted] and I. Justin did not install anything for the drip system other then a valve. There are no parts or supply line like he said. He states that he has put everything in and we basically just want our money back for work and supplies that we paid for and never received. The fact is he has not done what we have paid him to do. He keeps stating he doesn’t know why I put the complaint on Jacobson Mountain Air but in fact if you look at the bids that he provided to us he has Jacobson Mountain Air as the heading. To me this is in fact the same company that does Landscaping and Heating work. Jacobson told us that he would just go ahead and put the valve in so we were happy. We just wanted what we paid for. We’ve asked him multiple times for even just the parts so we could just do it ourselves but we never got the parts or anything we asked for. We have left him several voice mails over the three years and he has not returned any of our calls. We have talked to him in person in front of our house when he has been doing other jobs around my neighborhood. He seems to promise a lot and he doesn’t ever follow through. The fact of the matter is that we’ve been waiting for three years for a system that we paid for. All we have right now is one valve when we paid for a drip system around the entire house.  Thank You,  [redacted]

The [redacted] have cashed the check that I sent to make them happy for what they have requested. The remainder of work that is needed to be finished for  the drip system includes 150 dollars in supplies and a 150 dollars in labor which I have no desire to complete. The balance that was left off of the unpaid invoice was 300 dollars. We charge 600 for a complete drip system and we installed all the man line and electric valve with labor which is half of the drip system. Im not interested in working for someone that has been so difficult to work for . We went out of are way a couple times to do things to make them happy. The first item was a special trip over to remeasure the sod because they claimed I over charged them, but after walking the yard and counting every square foot found that I was exactly correct. The other trip over was to fix some settling of the soil around the foundation from the original earth work that was not compacted correctly. We dug up are valve boxes and reset them to grade which was done with no complaint,  but clearly not are issue. The owners even got after me for some sod repair work that a concrete contractor had damaged weeks after we where completed like I should be responsible to fix his work. I fill I have done everything I have needed to to satisfy the complaints and wish to move on. Thanks Justin J[redacted]
