            This letter addresses the complaint filed by [redacted]
on Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative, Inc. (JNEC) on June 26, 2015 (Case # 10689159). I regret that a
mutual agreement could not be reached between Ms. [redacted] and JNEC that would
prevent a complaint being filed by Ms. [redacted]. To my knowledge, Ms. [redacted] never
spoke with a supervisor regarding her concerns. In order to protect the privacy
of our member’s account information, JNEC will not be able to provide any specific
information explaining our position on this issue. However, I can say that the physical
location which Ms. [redacted] referenced was under a Local State of Disaster
declaration and was eventually declared a Federal Disaster because of natural
weather events that caused severe flooding. The severe flooding at Ms. [redacted]’s
property prevented JNEC personnel from safely performing Ms. [redacted]’s request.
For JNEC to release further information pertaining to [redacted]’s account, we
would need written authorization from Ms. [redacted]. 
JNEC acted within its policies and tariffs approved by the Cooperative
Board of Directors in handling the matters of deposit refund and account
maintenance.
