Review: I purchased a leather denim coat (size L) on Oct, **, 2013 from from Last Minute shop in Brooklyn. The person who sold it to me goes by the name of [redacted]. I paid $275 cash for the jacket because he said he didn't take credit cards, only cash, no refunds. He only had one size large in stock. Before purchasing the jacket, I asked him if I can return the jacket (same day) for a size smaller as I wanted to bring it home to get my roommate's opinion. He said okay. I also asked before purchasing, how long will it take to get a smaller size in stock if I choose to make an exchange. He said he can get it in for me by Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week (October **/[redacted]). This sounded reasonable to me, so I when ahead and purchased the jacket and gave him cash. (receipt indicated is what he have me. He just charged me $275 and told me not to worry about the tax).Monday, October [redacted] (18 days later and a series of text message inquires), I still have not received the jacket. He choose not to follow up on most of my text message inquiries during this time. 4 days prior to the [redacted], I expressed via text that I was leaving town on the evening on October [redacted] and that I would like to have the jacket before I leave. Again, no reply. 5pm on October [redacted], I showed up to the shop asking for the jacket. He said that "the guy" should be here between 5pm and 6pm that day with the jacket." I told him okay, I will be back in an hour to pick it up. One hour later I showed up to the shop, and the shop's door was locked. I rang the buzzer but no one answered, so I text him saying that I'm in front of the store waiting to pick up the jacket. He text me back saying that he went to Manhattan to get the jacket. I was very frustrated at this point, as he didn't bother to communicate this to me when I showed up an hour before to tell me this is what he was going to do, instead lied to me claiming that "the guy" was going to be delivering the jacket to the store" + I having to leave to the airport at 7:30pm that evening. After expressing how I was baffled and how unprofessional I thought this transaction was handled (see text messages) His reply was "just come and get the money back". At this point, I was okay with getting my money back. After waiting over 2.5 hours in front of the store, waiting for him to return to give me back my money (he claims that he was "stuck in traffic"), he shows up and gives me only $100 cash and says to come back next week for the rest.He would not give me my full refund on the spot. He insulted me, called me a [redacted] about having to catch a flight (which I missed and had to change) and said that he explained his "policy in the beginning about no refunds" and that "he's doing me a favor by giving me $100 now". How manipulative! I could not believe that this person would handle a situation with a customer like this! At this point, I was floored and puzzled and my only reaction was to try and reason with this guy and arrange a time to get the rest on my money as soon as possible. We agreed on the following Sunday, November [redacted] to pick up my money, when I return from my trip. On November [redacted], I arrive late from my trip. I text him Monday morning to followup on a time to come by to pick up my remainder $175. His only reply was "You said your coming sunday". Not a relevant reply (I thought to myself), but I did text back saying I got in late but can come by today. His reply: "not open today" That was it! Not even a followup text to advise me when to come by and get my money. I text him back "open tomorrow" again, no reply. I text him again twice the next day on Tuesday November [redacted] the following: "best time to swing by today let me know" Again no reply. Attempting to send one more text of reasoning, I sent the following text at 4:30: "Hi [redacted], I would like to close out and move forward from this transaction, so will you please let me know when I can come by today to pick up my remainder $175 balance please? Thank you." Again, no reply. I wait the next day, and text that "I will be stoping by today (wednesday November [redacted]) to pick up my $175." Again no reply. I show up with my roommate that afternoon. [redacted] answers the door and says: "can I help you?" As if he never saw me before or owed me money! After exchanging words, he claimed that because I didn't show up on sunday, I was going to have to wait another week to get my money! I could not believe this was happening again. My roommate was there to witness this. I have this encounter voice recorded on tape. After I mentioned small claims court if I didn't get my money that day, he told me that he didn't care and to take him to small claims court then. He even emitted to my face that he is a horrible business man!My roommate and I left the scene with no refund money and very aggravated. I still have not received my $175 and want it back! This person is very irrational, dishonest, manipulative and treats customers like trash, even after trying to reason with him.Desired Settlement: All I want is my $175 back that I am legally and rightfully owed. I want it back paid via money order and mailed to me. I do not want to deal with this person face to face anymore as I have tried numerous times as listed above.
