On Oct23, Ovation Restoration installed a new tub/shower in master bathroom We paid them $4,on Oct13, and on Nov.19, we paid them $for remodeling two bathrooms A leak was noticed on the floor of the master bathroom thought to be caused because the shower door had not been calked underneath This was not true The calking was done which then sealed water coming from a broken pipe entering the shut off valve inside the wallcausing it to go to the laundry room ceiling below In April the house was listed for saleThe inspection report hired by a potential buyer in Dec revealed the moisture leak We moved out of this house about June 6th and it stood vacant for the next nine months No water was going through pipes while it was vacant The inspection report showed the moisture on a detection meter I hired *** *** to fix the problem for which I was billed $on Feb25, On Feb24, I had Mr A***
I signed a contract with this business on 2/23/16, paying half of the agreed upon feeThe work was to encompass installing an entry floor with laminate flooring, painting a master bedroom and bath, and tiling two sink backsplashesThe work began the first week in March with the flooring portion of the projectIt was completed in one day, however, the debris filling numerous lawn-size, green garbage bags was left in front of my homeThe painting was completed within the next two weeks, but the tile project was continually postponed over two monthsEach week I was promised it would be doneSeveral times the workers failed to show up at the time/day promisedMany, many times I set aside large portions of my day to wait only to get a call with another excuse or, a few times, no call at allStill the bags of debris sat in front of my home even though I repeatedly texted the owners to remove the trash in a polite wayOn March 11, 2016, the owner came to my home and more-or-less dema
I hired this company to rebuild a sq ft upper deck at my houseThey were supposed to start in weeks but as the date was drawing near, was informed it would be another 3-weeks However, Rick said he would do some other work to make up for the delay (NOT TRUE) I was told by Rick Arnold that the wood was pretreated and later found out it was not He also informed me half way through the renovation that the large support beams would not need to be replaced which would save me money This was actually the most difficult part of the job and should have taken thousands off the bill, however, when it was time to settle up, he said he did a few other things and down-played the cost of replacing the beams and charged me close to the original amount I was stunned but paid him anyway as I just wanted it to end and didn't think I had any recourse The deck survived the winter but as soon as the sun came out the deck started cracking everywhere The railing also warped He had told me that I would need to spray a stain on when summer started but not to do anything until then I called and hired a painting/staining company and was informed that the wood was not treated and needed a full stain or paint to protect it (almost $3,000.) The painting company further commented on the poor quality of the construction Ovation Restoration did not predrill any of the holes which led to cracking everywhere there was a screw The 4xposts were cracked all the way through In addition to this, the beams that Rick Arnold said didn't need to be replaced, really did I am yrs old and have never formally complained about any company in my life! I certainly would not recommend this company to anyone!!!
