What about the I have given themAnd they keep it and pull the monument I would like my money back They have not been very accomidatingI waited forever just to have it setI did get back with them and they did set up a payment which I had a very hard winter and could barely buy foodI received no notice that they were pulling it and they do have my address cause they sent a payment book here

I called the complainant today to try to resolve the complaintAfter listening to her I mentioned that per our procedure we sent her a scaled drawing (with the design that was noted on the contract)for her approvalShe marked it approved, signed it and sent it back to usWe had no
indication that she did not want this designI offered to have a new stone cut to her likingShe said that her brother who had asked her to purchase this stone was very happy with itTo be clear I again offered to remake the stone at no additional cost two additional timesShe again said that she was satisfiedAlso of note that the customer purchased another memorial from us after this one and was quite satisfied

Mrs. [redacted],I am sorry for your hardships. We were somewhat aware of them when we lowered the payments from what you originally requested. Once they were set up we did not hear from you at all. We sent you monthly statements and a notice that we were going to remove the monument for non payment. Still we did not hear from you. The $3000 you deposited with us (not $3500) towards the purchase of the memorial, has gone to only partially pay for the granite and the cement foundation. The monument was delivered in April, the same month it was promised.The monument is permanently engraved with your information. We cannot recycle it or use it for someone else. We think it is important for all graves to be permanently marked with a memorial that captures their story for future generations to visit and remember.  Not being paid was the main reason the monument was removed, but not the only reason. There was a lack of communication. If there was communication to us explaining your situation and a consistent flow of payments even if it was only a $1 per week for a certain period, then we would not be where we are now. If you would like to reestablish that communication, we would be willing to accept further payments in any amount towards paying off the balance due of $3,630.16. As long as they are regular payments. Then when things get better you could pay more and before long the monument could be paid off and we could go out and mark the grave again.We hope to hear from you.William R. B[redacted], President

On 1/9/2016 [redacted] purchased a monument for $6335. She Put $3000 down as a down payment. The monument was set 5/27/ 2016.The balance was due per contract June 27,2016. After sending statements and past due notices for 5 months with no contact from the customer, (The number she gaveus...

was no longer in service) we sent notice that the monument would be picked up for non-payment. We received a note and call asking if she could do $300 monthlypayments. We asked if she could afford a $300 monthly payment? She stated that she could not but could afford a $150/ monthly payment. We sent her a paymentbook for $150/month in January 2017. After not receiving a payment for January, February and March, we sent her a statement and a copy of the work order that wewere going to pick up the monument for non payment. We did not hear from her and picked up the monument an May 25,2017.We are holding the monument and will be willing to reset it when the balance of the memorial is paid for plus carrying charges and pick up and resetting fee. Thatamount is $3630.16.
