Visa card then added an additional $1.11 to equal $6.68. The $1.11 is the 20%. If you take $5.57 multiply by 20%, you will get the $6.68. The preauthorization of $1.11 falls off in a few days. And the original amount of $5.57 should only go through. It is not the fault of Los Betos Mexican Food, or the merchant services company for los Betos. But the prepaid Visa card company is to blame for automatically adding an additional 20%. The reason the prepaid company does this. I in case the client wants to leave a tip.
