Unfortunately, our stay was not very pleasant nor enjoyableThe home is lovely and comfortable at first glance, but we experienced many, MANY issues during our stay which caused significant time, stress and inconvenience Upon arrival, the home was not cleaned sufficiently; there was dust in various places along the floors, accumulated dust and dirt on light fixtures, and on the bedroom duvet coverThe batteries for the remote control did not work, the dryer in home did not work (and no signs nor notifications were provided prior to or upon arrival)The back door did not lock from the outside with the keys left in the kitchen counterThe sink and tub drain were clogged and not drainingHand towels were not provided, even after paying for extra towelsWe reported all of these issues and while the cleaning staff came in again to clean, they took my Lysol, and the tub still did not drain properly, nor did the dust on the bedroom light fixture get resolvedThe dryer issue and the lock issue were left unresolved as well (we opted after so many phone calls, text messages, and inconvenience to not have them come during our last night of our stay) We experienced poor and/or inconsistent communication and correspondence issues with the staffThey were pleasant and apologetic but ultimately not fully helpful or capable of follow through, despite promises to do so on several occasionsI had to initiate all correspondence We also experienced insufficient handling of our issues by the sales/marketing manager who became impatient and unwilling to help us furtherAll in all, though a picturesque and lovely property in the historic district, we cannot recommend it to our friends, family or colleagues as the poor guest treatment is a strong deterrent for future stay opportunities

We had an extended winter stay with Lucky Savannah and had a wonderful experienceThey are very friendly to snowbirds and offered us a great returning guest discount when we came down for our second winter in Savannah!

On August 23, 2015 I booked a 3 night stay at this property managed by Lucky Savannah for which they charged me in full on that day the total of $760.81. As we are many states away, our only options were to look online for places to stay and we chose this property over the many others we considered because of the courtyard. We have no private outdoor space in our home and the advertisement for this property clearly boasts the virtues of the private courtyard as the property's greatest feature - for example - "The home is made even more luxurious by the private courtyard and outdoor entertaining space, complete with a heavenly hammock to relax in, and a vegetable garden ripe for the picking!" What also sold us on this particular property was the photo of the courtyard that showed an absolutely gorgeous space with tea lights, and a hammock, and beautiful flowers in potted planters, a large table and a caption with the photo that reads "Private Courtyard - Enjoy Savannah's mild temps in your private backyard. Perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or an afternoon nap in the hammock". Less important to us, but obviously a consideration, the inside of the home as described in the listing advertisement and photos, was absolutely gorgeous. It was so bright and pristine and appeared to be a perfect complement to what was advertised as an equally well-maintained courtyard.
On September 14, 2015, after 5 hours of driving, we arrived at the property. My wife started crying within 10 minutes of our arrival as we knew immediately that we had been disastrously misled and instead of starting our first vacation in years, we were in a strange city having just fallen victim to a horribly unethical company, Lucky Savannah. The home looks like a foreclosure that has not been maintained in any way for at least 5 years. The courtyard in actuality consists of broken glass, wood with rusty nails sticking out of it upright, something that was clearly a hammock many years ago but at this point is torn through the middle with weeds literally growing right through it. It was unusable. There were no potted plants, no vegetable garden, everything was dead, there was some sort of tubing coming out of the dirt everywhere that my wife almost tripped on and split her head open. There were no tea lights, the table and chairs in the photo were gone and what was there was absolutely filthy. We walked inside the house and were immediately greeted with a note that said "dishwasher doesn't work :-(" . I'm including the "sad face" emoticon because that's literally what this property management company greeted us with. As we walked through, it got worse from there and we got more and more upset. The property was the darkest, dingiest place I have ever been in my entire life. It was truly unrecognizable in every way from the photos and description in the online advertisement. And to top it off, it was absolutely filthy. My wife was so upset I asked her to sit down so we could try to calm ourselves for a minute before the long, 5 hour ride home, but there were so many stains on the chair, she refused and couldn't even bear to spend 5 minutes in the house before walking out hysterical to go back to the car. I think what made her most upset is originally we were planning on bringing our dog with us as this is listed as a pet friendly unit. Thinking about letting him loose to run around in broken glass and rusty nails during our first vacation in years really through her over the edge - it was just shocking how dangerous the property was on top of everything else. I took photos which are uploaded to this review so innocent folks like me can see what the properties "managed" by Lucky Savannah really look like when they're not able to hide online behind fake reviews, fictional descriptions and doctored photos.
I called Lucky Savannah 5 minutes after our arrival and informed them that that property was not delivered as advertised and as such were refusing possession and seeking a full refund. They refused. They said they were not aware of the issues and offered to have workers come and fix the problems that night and/or the next day. That was not OK with us and of course they were aware of the condition of the property they "maintain". An entire months-long renovation of the home, inside and out, is what was needed to "fix the problems" and make the home match that which was advertised online. As we were there on vacation, hosting workers doing a full renovation of a home the entire time was not a solution. In addition, the home was the most disgusting, depressing place I have ever been in my life. My wife was hysterical that we left our beautiful home, drove all that time and spent all that money to be in a place that filthy with neglect. Finally, at that point we knew what kind of company Lucky Savannah was. They take money under false and misleading pretenses and see no problem with neglecting properties and even allowing them to be dangerous. We knew a company this invested in public deception couldn't be trusted and a full refund was the only option.
When I order items online, I am presented with descriptions and photos. If the item arrives and doesn't match the description and photos, I return it and get my money back. For over a decade I've ordered laptops, phones, clothing, sneakers, books, furniture, artwork, printed products like business cards, signs, tshirts, you name it. They almost always arrive as advertised in the description and the photos and in times when they haven't, I've been refunded without a problem. That is the resolution I was seeking with Lucky Savannah but as they simply refuse to refund any of my money I am reaching out to the local Savannah media and business organizations to do whatever I can to make sure innocent people are aware of the truth so no one else has to go through what me and my family went through this week. This was an absolutely devastating experience for us which we won't recover from any time soon and our last chance for a vacation. Shame on everyone involved with this company.

House was unclean. Rat droppings were found. Bathroom has black mold. Washing maching machine has black mold. Sheets, pillows, and bedspreads were stained and torn. Found other renters trash/ clothing in house after it was supposedly cleaned. Got locked out of house due to low battery in lockbox. Lucky savannah came to let us in but their keys were mismarked so they didn't have the correct ones to let us in the house. The only option they had to offer us was for housekeeping to come back and reclean for us....by this time we had already cleaned the place ourselves and we were not going to waste our vacation time waiting around for someone to come clean when it should have been clean in the first place. Would not recommend lucky savannah to anyone. They have way too many properties to manage and therefore are not giving each the attention that they need. For the money we paid, we should have had at least a clean place to stay!

We rented with Lucky Savannah in March of this year. Although this is the busiest season in Savannah our home was spotless on arrival. We absolutely loved the home we stayed in (and have made reservations for next year already!!) The only minor issue was that one bathroom in the home did not have a hair dryer, but we called the Lucky guest line and they brought one over within 10 minutes. Also, download the app! It made arrival easy.
