I have a Ford F6.0L truckThis truck has common issues that I took to SoMo Diesel in Republic Missouri to get fixed commonly called "bulletproofing"When I first talked to the owner [redacted] he stated to me that he offers a one year unlimited mile warranty and that he could fix me truckI believe I first spoke with him near or close to January of about this issue My truck was starting to blow a little white smoke out of the exhaust and for a diesel that is not a good thing [redacted] stated to me that he could fix my truck in one week and that he would send the heads to a mill shop and everything would be done correct [redacted] quoted me at $3,to $4,for the job and stated he could not do payments I took my truck to the shop which is a one door shopNot really even a shopI believe there are only two people that work at the shop, [redacted] the owner and the guy who does all the workAlmost every time I visited the shop to check on my truck there were friend
I took my Ford FSuper Duty to Baillie Diesel in 08/with a noise I believed to be an Axle After days they told me “there is a slight noise in the axle but nothing to really worry about, and you still need fuel injectors” I said ok and drove the truck home; it did not feel right or safe on the way home I was scared to drive it so I had it towed to C.A.T.Tin Springfield They told me “You were lucky you did not drive it anymore, those were some of the worst bearings I have seen in a rear end that was still driving” C.A.T.Tdid a wonderful job at a fair price Baillie Diesel had previously quoted me around $to replace the fuel injectors but after the rear end debacle I had lost complete confidence in them I was referred to SOMO DIESEL in Springfield MO for new injectors SOMO DIESEL quoted me around $for new Swamper injectors installed out the door Two weeks later I dropped the truck off on a Friday morning and was to pick it up around 5P.M
I used this business to work on my Duramax, the staff was professional and knowledgeableThe "hometown" feel made me more accepting of the small shop, as I am used to the "big store" mentalityI worked directly with the owner and was completely satisfied with the extent of work they didOverall the company was very customer orientated, a few weeks after the service I was low on coolant, I called the shop just to verify the type I needed and the owner insisted I drop by and he would happily top it off and show me which type I needed to utilize of my vehicleVery professional and helpful
