Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2015/10/02) */ On September 1, 2015, Mrs [redacted] called to schedule an appointment for her recently purchased vehicleShe stated she purchased the car two days ago and the battery light had been since the purchaseWe were able to make an appointment for her the same day at 1p.m, because the red battery light was on, meaning the vehicle could stop running [redacted] performed the diagnostic service and found her auxiliary battery was defectiveIn addition there were codes for the circuit which powers the auxiliary battery [redacted] showed customer what was found, and a non factory battery installed in the trunk without proper mounting/or brackets attachedThis allowed the battery to make contact with the frame which can create a short in electrical system of the vehicleAfter customer approved replacement of auxiliary battery, the codes for the auxiliary battery went away but the codes remained for the circuit that powers the auxiliary [redacted] informed the customer that there must be a blown fuse and possible a defective fuse boxThe Mercedes fuse box (located under glove box- lower dash) was not available at the dealership so the customer asked to be taken homeWhen taking the customer home she remembered her keys were still at the shop so we returned to the shopWhen she returned to the shop, [redacted] was able to show her the blown fuseAfter replacing the blown fuse the codes were gone and red battery light Mrs [redacted] called two days later and stated the vehicle would not startAfter speaking with [redacted] Mrs [redacted] came by the shop with her sonTo ensure transparency, we instructed Mrs [redacted] to tow the vehicle to the dealership for further electrical diagnostic serviceAt the dealership, they replaced the fuse box which houses the fuse replaced two days prior, which had blown the fuse again On September 17th, we received a claim from the Revdex.com concerning Mrs [redacted] We tried to call Mrs [redacted] to resolve this matter and she did not return the callWith more than years in business this is the first claim with the Revdex.comWe value and respect our customers and work with them with the highest level of integrity
