Meineke Car Care Center of Tacoma

I had my vehicle in their shop for almost 4 weeks to have my transmission replaced with a rebuilt one due to "stress fractures" in the housing. I was never shown the fractures, so I have no idea if they were there or not. The transmission was replaced in 9 days, however the rebuilt transmission that they received from their supplier was bad, so they had to start again. They ordered a replacement for the replacement, only to receive an incorrect transmission (a week later). Another week goes by before a replacement for the second replacement came in. They did finally get the transmission taken care of, but, sometime in the three and a half weeks that my vehicle was in their shop someone used my Suburban to sleep in! After I got my vehicle back, I found a pair of dirty underwear inside, and also found a syringe (luckily, I don't think that it had been used yet, as the cap was still over the needle), but I was greatly disappointed to find that my vehicle was not locked up while in their shop. I called to speak to someone about the fact that my vehicle had been used by someone as a bedroom, and was told that there was no way that this could have happened there, as they kept my truck locked when it was on their premises but the vehicle was not locked when I went to pick it up the first time, (when they installed the bad transmission) or the second time, when I actually was able to bring the truck home.
In addition to this problem, I had asked them to look into a problem that I was having with getting the truck to start again after it was warmed up. I was informed that they were certain that it was a problem with the timing on the engine, but that they didn't have a timing light in the shop, and they would have to borrow one from another shop. I was amazed that a big chain like Meineke would not be able to have a timing light in each of their locations! Considering the fact that timing lights range from about $40 - $150, you would think they could afford to have one, just for convenience!
I will not be going back to this particular Meineke shop, and would highly recommend finding another shop to anyone who is considering going to this business to have work done on a vehicle.

Invoice #*** Clutch was replaced 24,000 miles ago
Still under the prorated warranty period, called *** over the phone and spoke with him. He stated the clutch was not under warranty. Nowhere on the paperwork does it say this. It states "Unless otherwise stated on this invoice your parts and labor purchased today will be covered b a prorated 3 year or 36,000-mile warranty," there are stipulations in the document however after careful review I am still covered under the already mentioned prorated warranty.
