Ms. [redacted] purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2012 Mercedes Benz C250 from Mercedes Benz... of Oxnard on January 1st of 2015 at 42,941 miles. The vehicle had been subjected to the Mercedes Benz mandated Certified Pre-Owned inspection (complete inspection report attached). For the tires on the vehicle to pass the inspection they must comply with the speed and load rating mandated by Mercedes Benz and have at least 5/32nds of tread depth remaining. The tires on this vehicle passed all of these conditions. On March 10, 2015 at 47,880 miles Ms. [redacted] brought her vehicle to our service department and demanded that we replace a tire that had gone flat at no charge to her. We inspected the flat tire and found a large cut in the tread. This caused the tire to go flat. The balance of the tires still had over 6/32nds tread depth remaining. The general manager of our store offered to split the cost of the replace tire as a gesture of goodwill but Ms. [redacted] now demanded that all four tires be replaced at no cost to her. The store declined. Later that day Ms. [redacted] relented and agreed to split the cost of the replacement tire and the dealership mounted, and balanced a new tire on her vehicle and cover 50% of the cost. I am rejecting this response because: In regards to Mercedes of Oxnard they have lied about the tread measurements on my certified carIn order to consider a car certified, the tires must have 5/worth of tread remaining on themI have attained three readings from three different tire companies and they have documented they all fall short with readings less then 5/Some of them as low as and 2/ Mercedes response was to send THEIR employee out to inspect the tiresInstead of taking three readings across the tire plane, he only took one in the middle where the tire tread is least worn His readings were five and six thirty secondsThis leads me to believe that their tool used to measure had been rigged Not only that, but upon inspection of the tire they had replaced due to it going flat, the tread measurement on that was only 7/I was told a new tire had been put on and was charged as suchA new tire should read 10/ Oxnard Mercedes has lied, sells cars fraudulently,do not back up their certifications and treat their buying customers with rudeness and disdain I would not advise ANYONE to do business with Mercedes of Oxnard or purchase a car from themThey are a big corporation, part of Auto Nation, and the only way you are going to get anything rectified, is by going to small claims courtI am so sorry I ever bought this car or did business with them Not to mention, because they had sold me a car with worn tires, I got the flat driving on the freeway at a very high sped which was very dangerousThis was after the fact that I took the car into have the tire inspected and they said nothing was wrong with it They do not care about your safety or satisfaction Regards, [redacted]

Ms. C[redacted] was provided with a CarFax Vehicle History Report (which she signed) at the time of purchase which clearly indicates that this vehicle has not been involved in any accidents, was a one owner vehicle and was completely reconditioned to Mercedes Benz CPO standards prior to purchase.
Mercedes Benz of Oxnard is  not aware of any accidents or paint work performed on this vehicle prior to the recent, goodwill, repair to the front bumper.
Ms. C[redacted] was provided with a Mercedes Benz loaner vehicle, at not charge, during her recent visit and refused to return the vehicle to the dealership when repairs to her bumper (once again, goodwill repairs) were completed. Ms. C[redacted] was keep abreast of the repair work being performed on her vehicle and was informed when the vehicle was ready for pickup. All of her calls to the dealership were returned in a timely fashion.
The dealership offered to deliver her vehicle and recover our loaner vehicle and Ms. C[redacted] refused to cooperate and stated that she works at a Federal facility and we would not be allowed on the property to recover our vehicle. She finally agreed to meet us in Encino, approximately forty miles from the  dealership to exchange our loaner for her vehicle. We sent the vehicle to Encino for the exchange.
No one from Mercedes Benz of Oxnard was in any way rude, hostile or reluctant to speak to Ms. C[redacted] and, in fact, provided a complete repaint of the front bumper on her vehicle at no charge as a gesture of goodwill.
The Certified Pre-Owned waranty provided to Ms. C[redacted] does not cover paint or any other cosmetic issues with the vehicle. Ms. Cavailer was provided with a copy of the CPO warranty at the time of purchase.
Mercedes Benz of Oxnard is not responsible for any paint or cosmetic damage to this vehicle after purchase/delivery.

I am rejecting this response because:
In regards to Mercedes of Oxnard they have lied about the tread measurements on my certified car. In order to consider a car certified, the tires must have 5/32 worth of tread remaining on them. I have attained  three readings from three different tire companies and they have documented they all fall short with readings less then 5/32. Some of them as low as 3 and 2/32.
Mercedes response was to send THEIR employee out to inspect the tires. Instead of taking three readings across the tire plane, he only took one in the middle where the tire tread is least worn.  His readings were five and six thirty seconds. This leads me to believe that their tool used to measure had been rigged.
Not only that, but upon inspection of the tire they had replaced due to it going flat, the tread measurement on that was only 7/32. I was told a new tire had been put on and was charged as such. A new tire should read 10/32.
Oxnard Mercedes has lied, sells cars fraudulently,do not back up their certifications and treat their buying customers with rudeness and disdain.
I would not advise ANYONE to do business with Mercedes of Oxnard or purchase a car from them. They are a big corporation, part of Auto Nation, and the only way you are going to get anything rectified, is by going to small claims court. I am so sorry I ever bought this car or did business with them.
Not to mention, because they had sold me a car with worn tires, I got the flat driving on the freeway at a very high sped which was very dangerous. This was after the fact that I took the car into have the tire inspected and they said nothing was wrong with it.
They do not care about your safety or satisfaction.

Review: Bought a certified 2012 Mercedes Benz C250 January 1st of this year. Within the month of purchase I called seller and notified them that the front tire looked low. They advised I bring the car in. I did the following week. Mechanic only visually looked at the tire. He said not to worry, computer gauge for tires would go on with warning light if the tire was low. He did hand check each tire though and did tell me that all four tires were worn and I needed new tires. I believed he was saying this just so I would purchase new tires from them. One month later while driving on the freeway I got a flat tire with that tire. I called roadside assistance and gentleman who changed tire said the inside of the tire was cracked. When I took to Mercedes to have changed they said it was my fault and that there was a gash not a crack and that I had run over something. They also noted that right front tire needed replacing as it was worn.I spoke to sales manager about replacing the tires. He agreed to paying for the flat tire and when I got to delaership he changed his mind and said he would only pay half. Half the price was one hundred thirty three dollars for that one tire.Their repair man told me the middle tread had passed inspection, but that the outside treads were worn and looked like they had not been rotated. Therfore the tires should not have passed.I bought the car with the orignal tires on it for I have all the maintenance work on the car and there is not paperwork suggesting that tires had been replaced. I bought the car having 44,000 miles on it and it now only has 47,000.I checked Mercedes national certified program to see that tires were covered and they are part of the certification inspection and guarantee.I believe they should pay the cost for all four worn tires to be replaced.I have only owned the car for two months.Desired Settlement: I would like to see all four tires replaced at no cost and I be reimbursed for the one tire I did pay for.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: Car sold as certified preowned vehicle paint began peeling 4months after dealer refusing to repaint Autonation won't respond to my attempt to contact April 2014, I purchased a 2012 Mercedes Benz C250 from MB Oxnard (CA). within 4 months of purchase large pieces of paint began falling/peeling off in the rear. MB Oxnard repainted. When I picked the car up, noticed paint in front peeling. MB said bring it back when you can and we will repaint. Months went by as I called and was ignored, also noticed a crack in driver rear rocker panel/step where area had been repainted previously. 5/2015 made arrangements to have car repainted with Nicolas E[redacted]. 6/20/15 brought car in got a loaner. 6/24 E[redacted] calls "it appears car was repainted, but not by Mercedes benz, but because you have had the car for so long there's nothing we can do. we would look foolish calling the guy we bought it from and saying hey you had this painted" I say unacceptable, E[redacted] tells me he will call back in an hour. On 6/24 I contact autonation via live chat & told I will be contacted in a few days. On 6/26, 29,30 I leave E[redacted] voicemails. 6/30 the general mgr G[redacted] calls and states, "I want my car back, my entire staff has been calling you" I advise I am the one who has been calling&I want my car repainted. Gordon ignores the request and only talks about the loaner. I tell him he can pick it up. Gordon states he will send someone with my car and take loaner back. the arrangement is made for 5:30pm 6/30; 4:30 I receive call from Mario advising GM can't get car picked up 6/30 will contact me morning of 7/1. At 11 am on 7/1, I have not heard from GM, I call & leave GM a vm msg asking for arrangement to trade vehicles. as of now no word. In that the dealer acknowledges and it is clear even to the untrained eye that the paint job on the car is way below MB quality CPO or not and should be repainted by MB Oxnard immediately. Additionally there are electrical issues with the car, letting me know that something happened to my car prior to my ownership & it was not disclosed to me. The driver side rear rocker panel is cracked; how does a car crack without being damaged; the paint is bubbling & peeling. I purchased extended warranties on everything for my vehicle. MB Oxnard will not even address the issue now. And Autonation has gone mute.Your Desired Resolution:I would like Mercedes Benz of Oxnard/Autonation to repaint my car using a certified Mercedes Benz paint shop and provide me with written proof that this was done. This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at Revdex.com, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 30 working days to respond to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.Desired Settlement: I want Mercedes Benz Oxnard to have my car repainted and repaired by a certified Mercedes Benz paint shop and repair shop, provide me with a loaner at no cost to me and drive my car to my home in Los Angeles.

I am rejecting this response because: again because MB Oxnard is flat out dishonest about their communications with me, my refusing to return the rental car and the issue with the paint job on my vehicle. If the process had gone so smoothly there would have been no reason for me to contact the Revdex.com. My focus is getting the vehicle painted by a certified MB painter as it should have been done when I purchased the vehicle. What the car facts say is a non-issue, MB and I know what the reality is. [redacted] admitted to me that the car had been repainted by a non-MB painter and a poor job was done. I have a record of MB repainting a portion of my car last year when the first CHUNK of paint fell off. How is that explained? The car needs to be re-painted by MB Oxnard at their cost. MB needs to focus on the issue and stop trying to deflect with the lies about the loaner. I have proof in telephone records and emails that I contacted MB and did not receive timely return calls until the Revdex.com got involved.
