We had the worst experience! We were very eager to get into a propertyWe tried for weeks to submit an application with no responseBy that point the property had rented! weeks after that we were called by a different agent to see if we had been helped?? Really too late!

Numerous attempts to address problem with apartment heater have failed to provide a solution I submitted a service request on 10/26/to have gaps around my heating/AC unit sealed, as cold air was blowing in around the unitAs of 1/12/18, I still have an issue related to this request, as it was never completely addressed earlier and subsequent requests to service the heater resulted in the previous work of sealing the gaps was undone by the other service workAdditionally, I have had problems with my heating unit not functioning properlyThe first time that a qualified repairman was sent, I was told that in order for it to work properly a separate thermostat would have to be installed, however Minnix Properties would not authorize the service man to install that thermostatThe second time that the same service man came to look at the heating unit, he told me that it was not large enough to handle my apartment sizeHe later came back and ran tests on the unit and said that it w

I applied for a Duplex from Minnix Properties on 12/5/the first timeThe second time I applied again on 12/14/I paid $three times for the application fee alone, due to I tried two different co-signers, which was fine, because it stated it was a non-refundable I wanted to move in Friday 12/23/16, but on 12/20/17, *** told me the earliest I could move in was 12/27/17, and I would need to pay a deposit to hold the duplexI Payed $because they charge a fee to use automatic system On Monday 12/27/17, I decided I would stay in my current residence and asked for my deposit back *** rudely told me I couldn't have my deposit back for the simple fact they took the rental property off of the market Let me inform you, the for rent sign was still out on the property and still is I filed a case with Dispute Resolution, a week after I was told I couldn't get my deposit back Dispute res

Deposit refund returned after days; unable to contact business- no return phone calls
Our problems started when we moved in; however got a lot worse throughout the course of our leasing for years with Minnix A lot of it we just dealt with because it was minor issues, until our move-out
Prior to our move-out, my husband received a phone call (which I've instructed the management company to call only me as my husband is unable to be reached during the day) instructing us that the keys HAD TO BE turned in by 5:pm on June 30, I was under the impression that we had until midnight We lawfully moved-out of our rental property on June 30, having given written prior notice of days We spent a week cleaning top to bottom and repairing any damage we felt that the property management would deem "damage" I called Minnix on August 4, to see if and when our deposit would be returned to us because we had not yet seen it I left a message, and my phone call was

I chose to apply for a property in Lubbock. After applying, my finance and I found different property that had just become available. I chose to cancel my application just 3 hours after I applied for the property and paid a $35 application fee. Minnix chose not to refund the application fee because it "begins processing a background check right away." However, [redacted] and [redacted] leasing refunded our application fees after we changed out minds. I would suggest working with them instead, it seems Minnix prefers to nickel and dime its customers. Plus, I think they are misleading me with their excuse as other companies were willing to cancel and refund my fees. I will not be working with them in the future.
