[Note] - complaint filed by customer's son, ***, at the request of ***

On Jan. 25th, 2020, the business provided moving services from San Bernardino to Santa Ana, CA. Multiple items were damaged as a result of the move of which the business acknowledged and took responsibility. Photos and videos were taken and retained as reference.

On Jan 27th, my mother was contacted by *** and advised that she would need to file a complaint for damages. The company provided a complaint form via email which was completed and returned on Feb 8th.

On Feb. 11th, my mother was contacted by *** and advised that her damage claim would not be processed as Mr. advise her the business was under "different ownership" at the time her items were originally moved into storage. As such, he would would be unable to help resolve her damage claim.

Online research found that the California Corporate Number #*** was the same business entirty during the entire transaction. Mr.' claim to the contrary completely false. In short, the business is obligated to resolve the damage claim but is unwilling to do so. In addition, the business has been unwilling to even contact the customer by phone as requested to resolve in good faith.

Follow-up emails to the business were sent on Feb 11, 12, 22, and 24 without resolution.

[Note that all emails, documents, and videos are available for review].

To whom it may concern; In response to Mr.s detailed listing of complaints we submit the following:I did in fact speak with *** on Feb 11, 2020 regarding her claim. I did inform her that even though we were not responsible for a MOVE GURU incident, that we would discuss things to try and resolve based on good faith and furthering customer service. She informed us to handle everything moving forward with her son, Mr.. On Feb 11 we sent an email asking him to call the office to speak with ***. Feb 12 he denied , saying he wanted us to call his mom (which we had already done)Feb 12 we returned with a 2nd request to call the office. Feb 22, he returned with the threat of reporting us. Feb 24, we reminded him of his own quoted statement in email that "My mom has authorized me to communicate on her behalf to resolve the issue" and we would like to attempt to do so. No further communication took place after that. While we respect Mr.s attempt to connect companies and licenses, we simply own the big bear inc name to protect the "Big Bear" name. Big Bear inc has not been in business for over 6 years. Big Bear LLC began in September of 2019. We regret that Mr. chose to report rather than call our offices to resolve after multiple attempts to reach him. *** gave Mrs *** any available information on MOVE GURU so that she could pursue that avenue.

I am rejecting this response because:
Murrieta Moving [DBA] Redlands Moving/Big Bear Moving is completely misrepresenting the facts in this ***. Despite what the business is claiming, there was NO attempt to resolve the matter after the business ACKNOWLEDGED that they were responsible for the damage. Contact made to *** on 2/11/20 was only to "inform her" that the business would NOT be taking responsibility for the damage to her property. Most importantly is that the business wrongly and fraudulently claims that the damage occurred when the business was "under different ownership."That claim is ludicrous and easily dis-proven by review of the business license and corporate filings.Murrieta Moving, Inc. - CA Corporate number ***, filed June 5, 2019DATE(S) OF SERVICE: June 23, 2019 and Jan. 25, 2020As you can clearly see, Murrieta Moving, Inc. DBA Redlands Moving/Big Bear Moving was the responsible business at the the time of the service! The business must be held accountable for the damage.Thank you.*** (son of ***)

Murrieta Moving Response • Mar 31, 2020

Clearly and concisely: Mrs *** was moved into the storage facility by Move Guru. That company is completely out of business. When Big Bear Moving LLXC was contracted to move Mrs *** out of the storage facility, they moved every item (wrapped from previous move) as is from storage. Mrs ***s claim needs to be addressed with the owner of Move Guru, not us. We made SEVERAL attempts (noted on 1st response) to speak with Mr *** to explain this. All conversation regarding licensing and corporate numbers is a moot point.

Customer Response • Mar 31, 2020

I am rejecting this response because:
Murrieta Moving, Inc. DBA Redlands Moving/Big Bear Moving claims to be a DIFFERENT business from "Move Guru." In fact, it is one and the same. Their claim is actually laughable if it wasn't so sad. Attention: Revdex.com. Please review the "Move Guru" webpage at https://move.guru and you will see that the business phone number, DOT license number, and Motor Carrier permit number are EXACTLY THE SAME as for Murrietta Moving, Inc. DBA Redlands Moving/Big Bear Moving. Their invoice for moving services on Jan. 25, 2020 reflect the SAME information as noted. A different business with the same phone number and licenses? This needs to be investigated immediately. As I suspect that the company will soon delete their website I have taken screenshots to prove at a later date should legal escalation be required. In short, this company is a complete SHAM and deserves the attention of not just the Revdex.com but the American public. A true disgrace.*** (son of ***)

They moved me on June 4, 2019 and damaged some furniture. After a good deal of arguing, I filed a claim and they had me sign an agreement on August 30, 2019 that they would pay me $400 within 8 weeks. Despite multiple emails, they have failed to pay. Now, I don't even get answers to my emails. I don't know if they are still in business or not, but they owe me $400.

Murrieta Moving Response • Mar 30, 2020

Unfortunately, we have no knowledge of this transaction. We are not sure why this was sent to our email

Murrieta Moving Response • Mar 31, 2020

I am trying to explain that the contract your client says was signed for a $400.00 refund. We have no knowledge of this. Who did she speak with?, Where is said contract?, We have no record of this happening.

Customer Response • Mar 31, 2020

I am rejecting this response because: You indicate that you have no knowledge of the $400 agreement. *** handled the agreement, which I have in writing, attached.

Murrieta Moving Response • Mar 31, 2020

We have contacted the previous owner of Murrieta Moving Inc, ***, regarding this matter. Her response is that she informed Ms *** that she simply did not have the funding as the company was going out of business (which it has) *** has also noted that her company performed a 2nd move for ms *** at which time she was given a $327.00 discount in order to offset the previos move. There is nothing further owed to Ms ***.

Customer Response • Apr 01, 2020

I am rejecting this response because: I don't know what she is talking about. There was no "2nd move". However, it's all a moot point since they chose to stiff me and went out of business.
