I am rejecting this response because: NONE OF THE REPAIRS WERE AUTHORIZED PRIOR TO BEING PERFORMED! The insurance company does not have ANY power to authorize the work ALL work MUST be authorized prior to it being doneAlso NO written estimate was EVER given to me during this entire processAlso it has come to our attention that Nightmotorsport performed multiple acts of check fraudWe received copies of all the checks issued ALL checks were made out to Nightmotorsport and [redacted] making it a two party check making it MANDATORY for my signature insuring that I would have had to approve the work before allowing the check to be cashedThe checks have only one signature on them and it is not mineAt this point we are in the process of beginning ALL legal and criminal processes unless the vehicle is returned to us with a zero balance owed

The work performed by Nightmotorsport was performed because the insurance company authorized and approved the repair of the vehicle. The customer’s insurance policy includes a betterment
segment, which states that the insurance company will...

only cover the repair
costs of parts equal to or lesser in value to the pre-damaged state of the
vehicle. The customer must pay the extra cost of any additional installation or
part replacement if the parts used to repair the vehicle are newer or in better
condition than the pre-wrecked engine. This is a common occurrence in the
automotive industry, as it can be difficult to find a used engine with the same
degree of wear and tear for the customer’s specific year and model car. If the
repair performed results in the betterment of the vehicle, the customer is
responsible for the amount of the betterment. The insurance company in this
case elected to pay for and replace the damaged part, but the policy clearly
states that neither Allstate nor Nightmotorsport is responsible for the cost
difference incurred as a result of the betterment and increase in value of the
vehicle.

The vehicle will not be released until it is paid.
