Review: On May 25th I entered in to a contract [redacted] is my rep to have 397.000 issues delivered in what they call the Friday wrap that was confirmed to go into houses on Friday the 5th.In the North Zone

On Thursday the 4th I I started to receive calls from an area that was diffintly out of the area I had requested.

As I explained to my rep that we are a start up company I had one tech in the area to cover all of the areas that I had chose for the Friday wrap to go into the North Zone this being very important as I explained above. I only have one tech in the selected areas?

So on Thursday afternoon the 4th my rep [redacted] calls and informs me that my ads had dropped in the SOUTH ZONE and was not even in a wrap format that it had gone out to multiple publications and that she was so sorry ???

Me being so upset about this as the SOUTH ZONE is a 45min drive just to get onto the area and then a longer drive to get to the customers house just to do the services and then to drive back to the intended areas we wanted to be in originally .

I expressed my unhappiness to her and her manager and they offered to place us in a full circ for the entire area even areas we didn't want to go in as I told them I'm not even happy about this they offered to place another benefit as in post it notes with my ad on it as compensation for the huge mistake and the inconvenience to my tech for making him drive so far to areas we didn't even ask for. At this time no amounts of money or how many post it notes would be issued.

So Sunday the 7th comes ad is out my rep has put on a tracking number on the ad calls come in from areas that are incredibly far away but seeing as how the post it notes are going to be on the papers sent to the NORTH ZONE

we bear down and deal with this HUGE HUGE inconvenience

So Monday the 8th my rep calls and says that the 2 things they are offering is to take place of the original order of 397.000 issues do to go in the NORTH ZONE. my story is longer is notDesired Settlement: A phone call from an acting Manager I want someone in a higher up position to know how this was handled

Response:

We originally scheduled a North Zone Friday Wrap for the client and our Insert Manager placed it in the South Zone. Evidently we were overbooked. We have contacted the client to make good using other options with the client’s approval. We have resolved this matter with the client’s approval and [redacted] has agreed to run 75,000 Post It Notes in the North Zone at a discount. He will redeem before August. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

The discount is not what I want after seeing a post it note I discovered that its not appropriate for my business and is not viable for all the headaches Oc Register has caused

Review: Failed to deliver the paper as promisedDesired Settlement: Resume delivery, credit all missed deliveries, reimberse my out of pocket expense for buying papers a news stand

Response:

Saturday October 4, 2014, the Register transitioned to a new independent carrier force to deliver the newspaper. While most delivery routes were not impacted, several of you had problems.

Review: The OC Register stopped delivering our paper on October 30. We would like to cancel the paper, however, customer service is non-existent. We have a credit balance with them and every day they charge us for the paper but it is never delivered. Chat sessions do not connect, e-mails unanswered, and they are not accepting phone calls. And you cannot cancel on-line.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of our credit balance as of October 29.

Business

Response:

As requested we have processed a refund of your credit balance as of October 29, 2014. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused with the missed deliveries. The refund will be mailed to the address listed on the account. Please allow up to 30 days to receive your refund.

Review: I ordered a deal on [redacted] for a one year subscription voucher with the OC Register. I paid $4 during the sale and my credit card was charged. I activated the voucher and it indicated that I would be receiving my paper in 6-8 business days. Early this week I received a survey from [redacted] asking my opinion about my recent subscription purchase. I gave a bad review of the OC Register as I have not received any of the Sunday newspapers that I was supposed to receive after activation within the 6-8 business days. I received another follow up email survey from [redacted] asking my opinion about whether my problem was with their service or OC Register; I indicated OC Register. At the end of this week I received a billing letter in the mail from the OC Register stating that I received Sunday Only service from them during 7/12/15 through 8/2/15 and owed them $3.23 for a balance due to my discontinued subscription. 1) I didn't discontinue a subscription - I merely complained to the vendor who I purchased the voucher from that I had NOT been receiving the product on a survey that was emailed to my attention; 2) I had already paid for the year in advance and have not been provided the product including during the dates indicated on the billing invoice so the OC Register is double billing people as well as not providing the product. In addition I spoke to two separate people at the Register who could not have been more clueless. 1) If I purchased a voucher and activated why would [redacted] be asking for my opinion about my recent purchase; and 2) If the papers take 4 to 6 weeks to get to the customer why would you send a bill to a customer for a discontinued subscription on a product they have not received during that time period and where did my original payment go?Desired Settlement: I want an apology from OC Register, I want this bogus billing charge removed and I want them to learn how to work with group couponing like the OC Times which I purchased prior to the OC Register and has done a fantastic job ensuring that I get my paper on Sundays and has never sent me a billing invoice after activation of a coupon.
