Review: We agreed to pay Outdoors Limited $250 to complete a pool opening on our above ground pool. This was to include the connection of all hoses and pump equipment. When the job was done we were told to fill the pool the rest of the way and start running the pump. Within a few days we noticed an obvious leak around one of the connections near the pump and the water level was down at least 6 inches. My husband disconnected and reconnected the hoses and we had to replace the water again. I contacted the business to report the problem and was told by the man on the phone, "I open and close a lot of pools and I know it was done right so I don't know what you want me to do." How about fixing the problem? Obviously it wasn't done right or it wouldn't be leaking 3 weeks later! I told him that we had fixed the problem but perhaps they would like to take an opportunity to offer some customer service to make sure that the customer was again happy! I'm not asking for a refund but I think that $40 or $50 in store credit is warranted. He then told me that there was still a $21 balance on my account. I told him that we agreed to $250 and I was unaware of any balance as he was paid $250 upon completion of the job. He told me that he would forego the balance on the account to replace the water. I don't see how this makes sense--I never agreed to any amount over $250 to begin with! He then repeated a few more times that he didn't know what I wanted him to do becoming more rude as the conversation continued. WHAT I WANT IS AN APOLOGY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, AN "I'M SORRY" THAT THEY SCREWED UP, AND A FOR YOUR TROUBLE HERE'S A GOOD-FAITH $40 GIFT CARD, not a redirection that they did everything right and this is somehow my fault, which is the kind of treatment I received. At that time I told him that I would come to the store to pay the remaining $21 on my account and would NOT be using their services again.Desired Settlement: $40 or $50 store credit for the reasons described in the complaint above. But more importantly, AN APOLOGY, not only for the mistake with the job but the way I was treated on the phone!
