I was trying to purchase a digital item in an online game that I play when this company popped upThey demanded that a send copies of my drivers license front and back in addition to information off of my credit cardWhen I was uncomfortable doing this and refused they not only froze my ability to pay for he item with my credit card but locked it so that I could not use any other method to get my desired merchandiseI finally relented and sent them the front of my license and the last digits on my card they then responded with demanding the front and back of my license and first and last digits of my card before they would agree to unlock my account

Hello,
As a payment processor, we make security one of our top priorities; thus, we take fraud claims very seriouslyIf Mr./Ms*** feels that this is a fraudulent transaction, we would be glad to assist furtherWe have our very own Risk
& Fraud Team to investigate and solve this matterHowever, in order to do this, we need more information about the paymentWe weren't able to locate it by simply using the last name indicated on the complaintWe ask that Mr./Ms*** provide more details such as the first and last digits of the credit card, as well as the name appearing on the cardWe can also be contacted via ***@paymentwall.com
We look forward to hear back from Mr./Ms*** in order for us to have it resolved as soon as possible

Hello ***,
The refund was processed on the same day the transaction was madeFortunately, our Risk and Fraud Department was able to screen this transaction as high riskWe have also blocked your credit card on our end so that no
further transactions can be made using it
As for the refund, the processing time varies depending on your credit card issuing bankStandard processing time is 3-business days, but some take longer than the others
Rest assured that the refund has already been processed
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2014/12/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I previously used this exact card for a transaction through their site and there was never a question of high riskThere is no reason the card should have been tagged as high risk the second time but not the first timeAdditionally, if it was high risk, as they claim, then why did they do the transaction in the first place? If it was truly considered high risk, the company should have denied the transaction in the first place, rather than processing it and then issuing a refundThen the company asked for personally identifiable information in order "to resolve" my complaintIf the refund was already processed, as they claimed, then there is no need for me to provide any further information, particularly personal informationAlthough the money was eventually refunded, there are still questionable practices being used by this company and any consumers should beware the practicesThere is never a need to submit a copy of a drivers license AFTER the money was taken and then allegedly refundedAny identification should be requested prior to the money being taken
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2014/12/22) */
The information is to verify the customer's account so that it could be unblocked, not for the refund
The refund has been processed even before the customer contacted us to ask regarding the status of the transaction
Please contact your credit card issuing bank to inquire about the refundHere's the transaction authorization code or reference code for the refund we issued: XXXXXX
For further assistance, please email us at ***@paymentwall.com or call XXX XXX XXXX
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2014/12/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If Payment wall deemed my account to have a security issue, then they never should have taken the money out of my account to start withAny alleged security issues would have occurred with that withdrawal, so their claim is not validWhile I did eventually receive my refund, I was without access to my money for more than two weeksI did contact my credit card company and they explained that they had to wait until Payment wall processed the refund, contrary to the statements made by Payment Wall that the refund was issued immediatelyI have the emails where Payment Wall told me it would be to business days for the refund to be processed, and then after that time period had passed, another email from Payment Wall stating that it would be to business daysIt was business days before the refund actually occurredSo Payment Wall can lie to the Revdex.com in their response to this complaint, but I have the written communication which proves otherwiseI will never use Payment Wall again and I warn all other consumers not to trust this companyI have since changed my credit cards, as I deem Payment Wall to be a major security risk, and I do not trust themCONSUMERS BEWARE, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

My payment was made through thehunter.com and was to be applied to TheHunter, a pc video gameI've had an account with this video game and company for more than years and have made several paymentsMy ordinary credit card which I've never had a problem with was immediately charged and refundedThey sent me a notice a few days later asking for my driers license and/or US PassportUnbelievably shadyI'm cancelling my credit card and I've notified agencies here in the United StatesThis is not a regular business practiceI'm cancelling my account with this video game as well and pursuing recourse

Fraudulent company They accept a payment, fail to deliver the product, then tell me they need photo id? NEGATIVE You do not need photo id to purchase video game points

TerrificCame here to just inform y'all how awesome my experience was from their support teamYou know, people dont usually bother leaving any positive notes for any good *** they gone through any online platformNo one does thatThis website literally exists for the opposite manBut they differentIve had like different inquiries with my payments and all issue gets resolved in like several hours broAint none of them even last for more than a day! I can dfnitely say they make sure imma happy camper with all my gamesYou in good hands brother

Tried to use the paymentwall incto purchase credit via ***Provided them all the additional personal information requested, they took my money and requested further details because they suspect fraud and trying to cancel the transaction payment wasn't returnedTherefore, I contact my bank and they stopped the transaction and return my money

For more than half a year, my refund request has not been processed

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
It is simply unacceptable that company would require a photo copy of an ID and and credit cardThe response is the same carbon copy response sent in emails and they refuse to offer an alternate procedure to satisfy a customers concern
I have contacted the credit card in question to inquire about this is it was alerted and elevated as a fraud action attempt and recommended I absolutely NOT supply a copy
This company needs to be clearly identified as a risk to consumers and need to take an honest look at their security verification requirements and procedures
Saying they will protect the data of an ID and CC being sent over digital media is not secureAs we have all learned in this age of technology, emails are not secure and can be intercepted by easy means
Sincerely,***

This company is collecting personal data(photo copies of ID and photo copies of credit cards) in order to complete transactionIt is being collected under the guise of security regardless of other opportunities or other payment optionsThis creates a risk of identity theft and they have no desire to provide a customer with other options

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/12) */
Hello,
A restriction was placed on Mr***'s account due to security reasonsThis may include, but not limited to, a particular payment or a certain trend, which was identified as riskyIn order to lift the block, the verification
process was put into place, including asking for proof of payment / ownershipThe payment system used by Mr*** sends out receipts, which is what was asked of him (samples attached)We had a continuous communication with the customerWe truly appreciate Mr***'s patience and cooperationThe block has already been removed, and this issue resolved on December 9th,

I have never had a complaint about Paymentwall before, I have used this payment method multiple timesHowever, today *** I when I went to buy something on *** *** online my payment was asked for "Verification"Asking for my ID which I don't feel comfortable giving pictures of that outPaymentwall made me miss a one day sale and I'm very pissed off about itI sent in the receipt from my gmail to there "verification" menu during my "verification" stageHere is my inquiry number R-***Paymentwall has really pissed me off with this "Verification" process and will think next time before buying something using there serviceOh if you say its to protect me from fraud, how the hell does it do that when I've used your services before and have never had this issue before!

I initially contacted the company on *** about issues I have trying to purchase goods with gift cardsWhen attempting to complete the transaction I have been receiving errors that the cards are duplicate and the transaction is getting cancelled and deniedHowever, these are cards that have never been used before with the companies siteSo how can they be duplicate? I have a entire chain of responses saying they will look into it, this was and has been going on for two weeks with no resolutionAnd my last email has gone unanswered for days without an explanation on WHY their system thinks these are duplicate cardsAll they are recommending is to use another form of payment

You see all these bad reviews about PaymentWall, and they are all trueAlso, don't forget to see that this so-called "business" is trying really hard to keep its head above waterLuckily, I didn't have it as bad as some of these other guysI tried purchasing some in-game currency from a game that uses PaymentWall, and my transactions (I attempted to make a couple of them) were deniedFortunately, my bank blocked my account at the moment due to suspicion of account fraud and theft from PaymentWallAll of these other guys here, though, didn't have it as easy as meThey've actually had money stolen from them due to PaymentWallIf you want to buy things from a game that uses PaymentWall, DON'T DO ITThey are classic scammers

Been using Paymentwall for almost a year now and I can say that their customer service is very impressiveI like how they disclose that they needed verification to protect your accountLove you guys!

These people sent me an email requesting a photo ID, front and back, a bank statement, and a photo of my CREDIT CARD for "documentation"This is phishing/identity theftThere was no privacy seal in the email, nor was the email encrypted
