I purchased a 2016 Kia Rio. I was not told the car was involved in an accident, it is at Kia needing repairs warranty wont cover because of accident.
I purchased a 2016 Kia Rio on March 28,2018 went to pick it up back doors would not open , tail light cracked, air didn't work, turned head lights on, wind shield wipers came on. Drove it less than 500 ft. to a repair shop who had done some work on it. They said it was wiring. it stayed there a few days, then they took it to Kia. Where it stayed another week. upon talking to Steven in sales at this business, and a car fax I done. I was told the car had been hit in the front, at a later date he told me it was hit in the rear, then pushed the car into another car. It was hit hard enough that it busted the rear window out because my daughter cleaned glass out of the seat belt cracks, and the trunk. I purchased extended warranties. I took the car to Firestone the two weeks I've actually had it in the driveway. The back shocks had been newly replaced. It needs a new strut on the front end cause by the accident. While there my car over heated. So I took it took Kia dealership April 23,2018 Dan Mcreary. My car is now back in a repair shop, it is SUPPOSE to be under warranty It has 33,000 original miles which lead me to purchase this car. It needs a new air conditioner compressor $750. which is NOT COVERED by either of the warranties because Kia is saying it was damaged by the auto accident that WAS NOT DISCLOSED to me at the time of my purchase. I'm 70 yrs old, my wife is on Hospice battling lung cancer. I feel I've really been messed over on this whole deal. I'm making my second car payment this week, and the cars been in my driveway a week and a half if I'm lucky. It's been one lie after the other.

Desired Outcome

My car is at Dean Mceary Kia dealer in Mobile. It needs a new air compressor that neither of my warrantys will pay because a wreck that was NOT DISCLOSED. They said it was damaged from a wreck. So I feel that Dan Prisinger Auto should pay $750. that my warranty will not pay. That's the fair thing to do.

I am truly sorry for how long it has taken for my response to your complaint, I have been out of the office and it was just brought to my attention.

Most of what is said in your complaint is not accurate other then the fact that the vehicle was involved in an accident while on the lot, it was front impact only and no glass was broken, the tail light was cracked when we received the vehicle and I can't give you an answer as to how that occur.

I will be happy to work with you on getting the condenser fixed if it was damaged by the accident, but it would need to be brought to one of the shops I use.

Again, I truly apologize for your experience this is not the experience our other customers have, and we want a chance to make this right for you.

However, I do have to make clear that you have not been lied to by any staff at Persinger Automotive, a miss understanding may have happened but after careful review of the situation I'm confident you were never lied to, I spoke to you personally about the accident that occurred while the vehicle was on the lot.

To make arrangements to bring the vehicle to one of our shops to have the condenser inspected please call the off at ***

ACCIDENT REPORTED,VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A REAR-END COLLISION INVOLVING FRONT IMPACT WITH ANOTHER MOTOTOR VICHLE,MAJOR DAMAGE REPORTED,BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGEA LOT OF THE KIA WARRENTY IS VOID.AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER BURNT UP,HAD TO BE REPLACED BY DEAN MCCARY KIA IN MOBILE,DAN PERSINGER HIMSELF TOLD MEHE WOULD CALL KIA OR GO TALK TO THEM,THAT WAS OVER A MONTH AGO.KIA HAS YET TO HEAR FROM HIM.IT COST ME ALMOST 700.00.WHY WOULD CARFAX HAVE A ACCIDENT HAVE A ACCIDENT REPORT ON THIS VEHICLE IF IT WAS DAMAGED ON A PRIVATE CAR LOT.I REST MY CASE ON DAN PERSINGER YOU CANNOT BELIEVE A WORD THESE PEOPLE SAY.THANK YOU

Brought a Chrylser 300- it broke down in less than a week of purchase. Car needs motor- dealer refuse to assist.
On December 14, 2017 I completed my contract agreement for the purchase of the 2012 Chrysler 300. The loan closed for $14,000+ finance with Credit Acceptance. I paid $1500.00 down towards the purchase. I test drove the car no warniing lights or indications of the car having issues. the next week Christmas Eve I was driving the car and it completed stopped in the middle of *** in ***, Alabama less than 20 miles from my residence. The car would not start the police and a tow truck had to come assist me because I was at a red light in the middle I paid $75 for the car to be towed. I contacted the dealer immediately I had his cell number he told me to have it towed to his repair man at *** in ***, AL and he will have them look at it. The car was towed to *** and sat there for more than 3 weeks I followed up and the repairman told me he does not have time. I had the car then towed to AutoNation Chrysler Dealership. The dealership advised me to pay $700 per the warranty company to have the motor broken down. I contacted the dealer and asked if he would split the cost to have the motor broken down he told me "No" and the car is my problem and to deal with it. Then he blocked my calls because I would always get his voicemail. I went to the Chrysler dealership and paid the $700.00 in hopes of getting my car fixed by the *** warranty company. *** warranty denied my claim stating that they could not fix the car because they do not cover overheating. The dealer I purchased the car from has not assisted me at nor have the finance company Credit Acceptance. The warranty company has also refuse to assist me. I went by the dealer who sold me the car today Feb 2, 2018 to see if he would assist me at all he refuse to do so. Please note I only had the car a week and the motor locked up, I have made several attempts for assistance from the dealer no help and he refuse to speak to me or even fix the car.

Desired Outcome

I can not afford to have this car fix out my pocket the cost is more than $10,000 to replace the motor. I rather have the loan closed and removed from my credit report, refund me for any and all expenses I paid including the down payment which total of $2400.00. the loan on the car itself is financed for more than $14000 I wish for it to be null and void due to the car not working

We regret that any customer has a problem with a vehicle. However Mrs. real issue is with the warranty company and not us. Apparently the warranty company did not cover her repair for a reason that we are not aware of. Mrs. has been hostile towards us and all we have tried to do was help. We are unable to satisfy her at this time.

I have not in anyway been hostile. I have documentation, text messages and pics of the issue. The car deal officially closed on December 19, 2017 the car broke down December 24, 2017. The dealer told me to take the car to his repairman his repairman left the car in his lot for over 2 weeks. I kept the dealer posted on the process and informing him of any all matters regarding the car. When I told the dealer that I had to pay for the motor to broke down to the point of failure which cost $700 he refused to stand behind his car and told me it's my problem and deal with it. I explain to him that at the car stop working after 5 days of driving it. I ask could he trade a car for me he refused. He had not responded to any of my messages. This car problems and I very sure the dealer knew this before selling me the car. As a consumer I paid money for a car that was sold and not fully disclosed about the car issues. There was no car fax and I have yet to receive a any documentation for the contract of the car I did not even get a copy of he warranty I purchased. According to the warranty company the dealer was suppose to provide a copy of it they failed I have even requested a copy of it and they still have not issued it. I got on 2 sheets of paper from this purchase one page being a piece of paper to get my tag the other sheet a copy cost of the car. Nothing more. The dealer has failed to comply in all matters regarding this car. As mentioned I have documents, videos, text messages about this matter. I have also notified the lender Credit Acceptance and they are now investigating this dealer as well because they finance the car under the assumption of this car was fully operative. They were not disclose any information of this vehicle being poorly sold and never serviced prior to finance. The car did not have a oil sticker in it either to reflect the last service date. I'm far from hostile however I believe I'm good customer service and standing behind your product. I have been more than willing to work with the dealer however he has blocked any remedy that can be settled with this matter therefore I had to move forward with this complaint. It's not a warranty issue its a poor communication from the dealer who knew the car had issues and failed to disclose them And fail to provide the proper documentation and did not service the car prior to selling and receiving a check from credit acceptance.

It appears that the customer continued driving the car when the car initially ran hot. By driving the car hot the customer turned an easy fix into a major repair. This is the reason the warranty will not cover the repair. We have done all we are willing to do for this customer.

I went from *** corner to *** via *** which is less than 15 miles...while in route I called the dealer immediately via his cell on Christmas Eve when the gauges started going towards hot because the gauge was bouncing back and forth *** advised me to bring the car in after Christmas and that its just a sensor. I asked him repeatedly are you sure??? He said "yeah girl it's fine." The car gauge bounced back to cool when I got off the exit in *** the car came to an abrupt stop the car would not turn over and crank up. I called *** immediately and told him he said have it towed to his repair man in *** at ***. The police came to assist me because I was on a major highway broke down by myself on Christmas Eve. The official deal closed December 19, 2016. When I drove the car off the lot there we're no lights on indicating the car needed it to be serviced. As mentioned in my previous response I have text messages, pics and documents to follow this claim and will gladly produce them. The issue is with the *** automotive for not wanting to remedy this matter in the 6 days of me driving it. I would never continue to drive a car that I see could cause serious damage when it's overheating. If it was an easy fix as described by *** Automotive why didn't his mechanic fix it when the car went immediately to his shop on Christmas Eve. As I mentioned *** Automotive sold this car to me and had me pay a big down payment and took a check from the finance company knowingly that this car had issues instead of them properly servicing the car prior to selling they choose to have a car financed with major repair issues. *** Automotive do not stand behind their cars if it was so I would not have had to escalate this matter.
