Lambert Radiology placed my account in collections with PROGRESSIVE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR *** for services rendered in 2017. In Jan 2018 when I received a statement I contacted LR and advised them that I had 100% medical coverage. The representative advised me that it was a billing error on their end and corrections would be made. Today I discovered that the item is on my credit report, reported as a derogatory item, negatively impacting my credit score. I contacted LR, and spoke with Supervisor *** She stated that they have been billing PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE for an auto accident for the bill. This is not my insurance company. I'm with *** and I was not involved in an auto accident. *** informed me that they would re-bill the correct insurance company but would not delete this item or remove this from the collection agency. I explained to *** that this was no fault of mine and how could they penalize me for their mistake. I also informed her that my husband passed away and that I am trying to arrange financial matters with our home and this was effective my credit score. *** had not empathy for the matter and refused to request the Agency to "delete" the item. Please assist me if you can. I want this item removed as it is having a huge impact on my finances.

Correction to a credit report Due to this matter being the negligence of LAMBERT RADIOLOGY MEDICAL GROUP, I would like to have this item "DELETED" from my credit report with all agencies. I would also like this matter to be canceled with PROGRESSIVE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, *** I need a written letter stating that this matter will be DELETED from my credit report by early next week. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter.

Thank you for your recent letter regarding the complaint submitted to your organization by ***. Zotec Partners, LLC provides medical billing management services on behalf of Lambert Radiology. As such, I am responding to your inquiry on their behalf. It is our mutual goal to provide accurate and timely billing services in a satisfying manner to the patients of Lambert Radiology.

Our review of the patient's account has resulted in these findings:

The balance was cancelled with the collection agency on 09/23/19.

We regret for the inconvenience this has caused ***. At this time, we request you close this complaint as we have resolved it in a satisfactory manner.

After filing my complaint, PIH and Progressive removed the derogatory hit on my credit report and admitted fault due to inaccurate billing error.

I have since, received a letter of deletion.

The service I received did not reach the standard level of care. I was also charged a higher level of service than I received.
I received services at the PIH Health facility in Downey, CA. I went to the Emergency Room at the Downey facility on December 23, 2016. I had lacerated my leg and it required stitches.

I arrived at the facility at approximately 12:30am and they proceeded to admit me for services. It took a couple of hours to process me into the facility. They then took me into the emergency room for the required stitches. The cut I sustained was very deep and I asked the emergency room doctor if I should have internal stitches prior to the external stitches. I was told that it was not required. They proceeded to clean the cut and applied 5 stitches to the wound. They also gave me a tetanus shot. I was released at 2:45am.

I went to my Primary Care physician to have the stitches removed. When my physician saw the results of the stitches, he said that they were poorly done and would leave a big scar. He suggested that if I wanted, he would send me to another doctor to have the cut opened up and re-stitched.

I received the bill for the services from PIH Health. The total charge for my visit was $***. PIH has been paid $*** towards this bill. I also received a bill directly from the attending physicians medical facility for $*** (I filed a complaint with them and they agreed with my assessment and cancelled their bill for this service).

I called the PIH Downey facility and requested relief from the remaining balance due to the poor service I received. My request was reviewed by the Quality Department and on April 17, 2017 they sent me a letter denying my request. I then went to the PIH Whittier facility May 5, 2017 to discuss the issue with the billing department. I showed them the injury and provided a statement and pictures, again requesting relief due to poor service. I was again denied.

Upon further review of the bill, it has come to my attention that I was billed a higher level of service than was required for this visit. I was only in the facility receiving service for approximately 30 minutes and received only 5 stitches and a tetanus shot.

I wrote a letter to the PIH Health President and CEO to request a review of the service I received and the charges for the visit, again requesting an adjustment to the bill. This request was sent to the same Quality Department and again my request was denied.

Desired Outcome

I request relief from the remaining balance and a return of the $200.00 that I paid them on the day of service. I was over charged and the services that I received was of poor quality (as shown by the attending physician medical facility cancelling their bill).
