Public Motors So Cal went out of business as of 11/19/15. At this time we can only refer you to contact the limited service contract company or the extended service contract company, depending what service contract you obtained at the time of sale. If you did not purchase an extended service...

contract and you are still within the 90days or 3k miles from the time of sale the company you can call to submit a service claim is Buyer Shield 1800-[redacted]. If you purchased the extended service contract with Portfolio you can call them at 1800-527-3426 to submit a service claim.We apologize for any inconvenience.

Their whole response is basically a lie. They made an appointment with me for the 25th of May. Then when I came I was told they are closed for memorial day and that I should come in the next day. The man who took the car in on Tuesday was [redacted], and not the service manager [redacted]. He had either been fired or resigned the next day or so, I'm not exactly sure what happened there, but as a result they just left my car there without touching it or telling me about it. At the time of vehicle drop off I was not informed of any of these things.I only met with [redacted] on Friday that week, after I drove down to Public Motors as he had failed to respond to my calls after telling me on the phone that the car would be looked at and that they will contact me about further procedures and not doing that. In that meeting I had told [redacted] specifically that if they don't have time to deal with the car they should tell me and set a new appointment when they can. In response I was told that I should leave it there as they had finally found the transmission problem(which they claimed they couldn't find for 3 days and you could clearly tell was there by driving the car for two minutes) and they are waiting for an inspector to come and have a look at it and then they will be able to get me in a rental car. Said inspector examined the car on Monday (June 1st). From there on I was told by different individuals at Public motors the car would be ready on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and finally Monday(when I finally got to have it back).  I've had to turn to Portfolio myself to get the reimbursement they provide(still waiting on that). So any claim to their(Public Motors) involvement in that are false.They(Public Motors) told me specifically that the repairs should not have taken longer than 5 days, and I was told independently by another mechanic that they should in fact actually take much less than that.While a transmission replacement may take 7-14 days, this was, to my knowledge based on what I was told and what the service report I received says, not the service performed on my car. The service performed was a transmission flush which in actuality takes less than two hours.The argument is that they kept my car needlessly an unjustifiable amount of time costing me money that I should not have had to expend, and they have not addressed this issue at all.I am sure that if a delivery is promised to them by a supplier, and then takes much longer than it should and as a result they lose money, they would demand compensation from the supplier, as it would be responsible and at fault. It seems only fair that they should live up to these standards as well.Regards,

My wife n I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping us deal with public motors of Santa Anna, ca. Two days ago Publics  Motors finally sent us the spare tire n a low jack that comes with the car. [redacted] Lo

We have honored the customer's complaint and have agreed to cancel all 3 optional contracts. A full refund for each contract will be issued to [redacted], as they are the legal owners of the mentioned vehicle. Refund will be issued within the 45 days from the date the cancellation form was signed.

The vehicle is 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan.  The engine replaced by Public Motors is 2009.  Their mechanics seem to take liberties with my car that result in diminished capacity of the vehicle.  This is the second time a repair has gone south then south again.  Where there has been...

good faith is now lack of confidence. I would like the refund amount to reflect a new factory motor and any refund on my warranty.   If you need a number for those things I would say the motor is 6000 and the warranty new was 3000.
