We are offering a solution The mower simply needs to be engaged at full throttle We have determined the cause of the issue and that is when the unit is engaged at idle speed, there is not enough torque for a smooth engagement We are more than willing to demonstrate this The process is not unorthodox; it simply requires moving the throttle lever forward.Yes, Schweissguth Bros and Kubota Mfg will continue to stand behind the 48-month or 300-hour warranty, I cannot speak for Kubota on the operator's manual and can only suggest to them that they include this in their next publication of operator's manuals.Kubota Mfg has not authorized a replacement unit Yes, all units need to be operated in this way No, Kubota has not had a national recall. We would be absolutely happy to return the unit to the customer at no charge if the customer will just return our phone calls to arrange a time.Yes, if this particular problem arises again, we will pick it up and if available supply a replacement unit Kubota has not authorized a replacement unit and I cannot offer any other guarantee besides the 48-month or 300-hour warranty We will stand behind our product.Solution: We ask that you try it one more time It has resolved the issue I only wish we both had known this from the start, and then we would not be having these discussions I am convinced this issue is resolved and if it is not when the customer starts mowing next spring I will do everything in my power to convince Kubota Mfgto assist us in taking the unit back and replace it.if you have a problem next spring then I will agree that action needs to be taken Let us deliver the unit to you and try it See what you think

I am rejecting this response because:  The business is not offering a solution.  The business and the vendor have not determined the cause of the issue.  If I follow this unorthodox process when activiating my blades and it does not solve the problem; will the...

business and vendor then stand behind their product?  The business has already stated to me that the process they are suggesting to operate the unit is not suggested in any protocol, operating manual or suggestion path of operation.  Will I then receive a replacement unit?  The business response was that replacing the unit will not solve the problem.  Are they saying that all of the units have the same malfunction?  If so, has there been a national recall on the specific unit?Another issue is that the business still has my unit (13 hours on the unit).  They have not returned my unit. It has been at their service department for a total of 3.5 months out of the 6 that I have owned it.  I have been paying for a unit that I have only been able to use 42% of the time that I have owned it.  Are they giving me any guarantee that if the problem continutes, they will continue to service my unit by first picking it up at my residence and then providing me with a replacement unit?  I want a resolution in the form of a replacment unit or a guarantee that as long as I own the unit, they will service it (even out of warranty) if this specific problem should occur in the future. Stand behind your product.
Sincerely,

We are offering a solution.  The mower simply needs to be engaged at full throttle.  We have determined the cause of the issue and that is when  the unit is engaged at idle speed, there is not enough torque for a smooth engagement.  We are more than willing to demonstrate this.  The process is not unorthodox; it simply requires moving the throttle lever forward.Yes, Schweissguth Bros and Kubota Mfg will continue to stand behind the 48-month or 300-hour warranty, I cannot speak for Kubota on the operator's manual and can only suggest to them that they include this in their next publication of operator's manuals.Kubota Mfg has not authorized a replacement unit.  Yes, all units need to be operated in this way.  No, Kubota has not had a national recall. We would be absolutely happy to return the unit to the customer at no charge if the customer will just return our phone calls to arrange a time.Yes, if this particular problem arises again, we will pick it up and if available supply a replacement unit.  Kubota has not authorized a replacement unit and I cannot offer any other guarantee besides the 48-month or 300-hour warranty.  We will stand behind our product.Solution:  We ask that you try it one more time.  It has resolved the issue.  I only wish we both had known this from the start, and then we would not be having these discussions.  I am convinced this issue is resolved and if it is not when the customer starts mowing next spring.   I will do everything in my power to convince Kubota Mfg. to assist us in taking the unit back and replace it.if you have a problem next spring then I will agree that action needs to be taken.  Let us deliver the unit to you and try it.  See what you think.
