Yes, this pet did have pancreatitis But not when we saw him The elevation in the pancreatic enzyme was minimally above and the patient did not have a painful abdomen when we saw him We no not treat numbers, we as the entire animal and treat accordingly In fact this patient was bright alert and responsive when we saw him This owner took her dog to the emergency room on July 11, As she states, we saw her dog on 7/3/ The dog became clinically ill week later As for the comments on what the emergency veterinarian said, I talked to them and they adamantly deny any such conversationMy staff are all very upset by these accusations as they feel they went above and beyond for this client and patient In fact, a recheck exam was offered on 7/11/but was declined We are sorry this client is upset, but we are all very happy that her dog is betterThank you for allowing me to respond to this complaint, [redacted] L***, M.S., D.V.M

Yes, this pet did have pancreatitis.  But not when we saw him.  The elevation in the pancreatic enzyme was minimally above normal and the patient did not have a painful abdomen when we saw him.  We no not treat numbers, we as the entire animal and treat accordingly.  In fact...

this patient was bright alert and responsive when we saw him.  This owner took her dog to the emergency room on July 11, 2015.  As she states, we saw her dog on 7/3/15.   The dog became clinically ill 1 week later.  As for the comments on what the emergency veterinarian said, I talked to them and they adamantly deny any such conversation. My staff are all very upset by these accusations as they feel they went above and beyond for this client and patient.  In fact, a recheck exam was offered on 7/11/15 but was declined.   We are sorry this client is upset, but we are all very happy that her dog is better. Thank you for allowing me to respond to this complaint,[redacted] L.
