Southern Light Solar certainly apologizes for any misunderstanding If Southern Light Solar had been unable to obtain permits to construct the project, we most certainly would have returned Mr***'s deposit, as stated in the previous reply Unfortunately, it was Mr [redacted] who chose to not move forward with the project after considerable funds had been spent on his behalfIn terms of the receipts themselves, the permitting costs with the Town of Acushnet are pretty straightforward and total $ We have reached out to the Town on Mr***'s behalf, and unfortunately it has refused to return the permitting fees, as the zoning process had already begun Mr [redacted] is correct in that our structural engineer grouped projects together for an invoice total of $(average of $per project) For the purposes of the deposit refund, we assumed that the amount of time spend on Mr***'s project was in-line with the other projects (it wasn't) and rounded down to $to make the math easyWe could always go back to our engineer and have him call out the specific hours spent on this project, but that seemed like a waste of resources on both ends and would only lessen Mr***'s deposit. As mentioned previously, we will continue to keep the lines of communication open with Mr [redacted] and wish him the best If he would like to move forward with his project, we can pick up where we left off and apply the amounts already paid as a credit towards the project.Warmest Regards, [redacted]

Mr*** response would be satisfactory if not for the fact that it is completely contrary to what his salesperson expressed when he asked for the $depositWe were also not at final design because the town had rejected the initial permit and design due to set backs and buffer zonesThe cost for the project was going to increase expedendially due satisfying the town requirements if the town would have ultimately granted the project at allThis was expressed to me by *** and played a significant role in deciding to not move forward since we were already over $60,for the projectSo the plan design set forth by Southern Light Solar may have been approved by us but not by the town and a new more expensive design was eminent that would have included an expensive wall to act as a buffer from the street as a requirement from the townThat's what was expressed to me by *** *** the sales manager. Also, the invoices included with the deposit check that Mr *** claims were for work of 3rd party vendors did not outline any work performed and one was grouped many other addressesTo bring honest, I'm skeptical of their overall validity based solely on their presentation alone. Theven bottom line is that this company pulled a bait and switch with respect to their communication and handling of my depositI would like them to honor what was told to me and refund my entire depositI still have not cashed the check they gave me awaiting this proper resolution. Regards,

Southern Light Solar certainly apologizes for any misunderstanding.  If Southern Light Solar had been unable to obtain permits to construct the project, we most certainly would have returned Mr. [redacted]'s deposit, as stated in the previous reply.  Unfortunately, it was Mr. [redacted] who chose to not move forward with the project after considerable funds had been spent on his behalf. In terms of the receipts themselves, the permitting costs with the Town of Acushnet are pretty straightforward and total $315.  We have reached out to the Town on Mr. [redacted]'s behalf, and unfortunately it has refused to return the permitting fees, as the zoning process had already begun.  Mr. [redacted] is correct in that our structural engineer grouped 5 projects together for an invoice total of $1072.50 (average of $214.50 per project).  For the purposes of the deposit refund, we assumed that the amount of time spend on Mr. [redacted]'s project was in-line with the other projects (it wasn't) and rounded down to $200 to make the math easy. We could always go back to our engineer and have him call out the specific hours spent on this project, but that seemed like a waste of resources on both ends and would only lessen Mr. [redacted]'s deposit. As mentioned previously, we will continue to keep the lines of communication open with Mr. [redacted] and wish him the best.  If he would like to move forward with his project, we can pick up where we left off and apply the amounts already paid as a credit towards the project.Warmest Regards, [redacted]
