The customer has already contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair regarding these visits Upon investigation, the BAR deemed that all repairs were performed as recommended They found that all repairs were completed and no negligence was involved The BAR also determined that the second repair was a goodwill gesture set forth by Steves Chevrolet even though the customer did not receive it as such Any future repairs would be the customer’s responsibility The BAR also stated that the customer should complete paying for the original repairs

I am rejecting this response because: In response to the letter written by Steve Chevrolet first of all when I went to pick up my car and they had charge me that amount of money my daily amount from my bank would only pay 3400dollars and that's why only Was paid that day however a fewdays after I picked up my car it caught on fire as I was driving and I had to pull over I could've been killed or injured in an accident because the car start jerking joke in and going days after I picked up my car it caught on fire as I was driving and I had to pull over I could've been killed or injured in an accident because the car start jerking and going fast and when I put on the brakes it was still going and it was on fire so I have pulled over and I had it towed back to the Chevrolet company this is what they did to my car at called a self fixing my car has never did that about I was a one owner car I never had my car to catch on fire in any manner previous to Steve Chevrolet Working on my car so the car got taken back because it was not fixed and it caught on fire from what they had called them self repaired it was not repaired so that it got taken back and they put something else on the car to repair what the damage that they had done from the calls of the fire which was calls about them and not me and so that's the reason that we are in dispute and I also had my car looked at by second dealership and according to them none of the work that was on the invoice for Steve Chevrolet was completed so I had a second opinion about dealership certified dealership and they said that the work was not done so I dispute what Steve Chevrolet has say it and I would like to continue with the case thank you [redacted] ***

Customer called in for appointment on car and demanded a loaner carBrought car in for smog and air conditioning issue. Check engine light was on. She also requested a tune-up. We informed her we would need to diagnose firstOpened repair order on Feb 26thWe performed
inspection and found multiple issues with SES light. Gave estimate of $to repairShe approved the work. As we were performing work, we found that the ignition coil needed to be replaced. Called customer for approval of additional $200. She verbally approved the additional moneyWe completed repair. The SES light was out, vehicle passed smog and the engine was running properlyCustomer picked up car on Thursday, March 8th. She argued about us calling her to install additional partBill was for $3800. The customer’s credit card was declined. We were able to run the card for $3482.16. Customer said to run it for the difference the next dayCustomer left the dealership and left her purse on the cashiers counter. All the parts we replaced were in the customer’s trunk. Upon discovering the purse on the counter, our receptionist called the customer. Customer said she would return the next day to pick up her purseOn Friday, March 9th, customer called and said that we did not replace any parts on her car. I acknowledged that she was coming back to pick up her purse and invited her to sit down with our service manager to go over the repair order and physically show her which parts were replaced. Customer called back in Saturday morning and said her check engine light was back on and she wanted us to finish the repair. I again invited her to bring the car back in so we can check it and go over the repair order with herShe said she did not feel comfortable talking to “us men” at the dealership because she “has gone down that road before”. She continued to question our integrity and accused us of taking advantage of customers like her. She specifically mentioned that we preyed on people that were African-American, female and over the age of 65. I told her that this simply was not true and was going to terminate the conversationShe called back and stated that she did not feel comfortable coming to our dealership and that she would send her nephew to pick up her purseI called the Chowchilla Police Department to come pick up her purse and contact the customer because I felt the dealership was being set upThe police picked up the purse and I had no further conversation with the customerWe adjusted the repair order down to the amount she paid because we were unable to collect the full amount when we initially processed the credit cardOn Thursday, March 15th, I received the complaint from the Revdex.com
