Terrible Customer Service
I had Sunrooms4u come out and give me an estimate on a patio cover- after the initial quote (35k) have been trying to work with him to figure out exactly what needs to be done & how, but they owner seems very unwilling to help. First, I asked him for a drawing of the patio cover he would create-
he complained- I had told him already that my dad had a similar cover- and so he said, "Why do you need a drawing? You've seen your dad's"
Next, I asked about permitting- he said, "You don't need a permit- it is just a cover", however, after further inquiry I found this was not case... At one point when I asked to see a copy of the contract & terms- he asked me what I did for a living- Not sure how that is relevant, or why, this request would not be something pretty easy for him to do. His proposal was to anchor the new patio into my house- I'm not trusting someone who doesn't willingly create a drawing or produce a contract do work that affects the structure of my home.

Both Mr and Mrs *** have my personal cell phone number, email and have contacted me personally though out the construction process, yet have not contacted me for this issue. As of 02/19/we still have had no request for service from this customer, not by phone, email or mail. We record all of our phone calls and save all of our emails to ensure customer satisfaction. As for the dog door, we do not supply the dog door for the reason the customer stated, the pet owner knows their pet and provides the pet door of their choice. We provide the installation and are limited as to how and where it is installed to the type of pet door that is provided by the homeowner Thank you, *** *** Sunrooms4u llc 210-*** 210-*** cell ***@sunrooms4u.com

Im still having issues with Sunrooms 4-U in San Antonio. All of the bottom windows they originally installed leak and have caused my sunroom to partially flood when it rains. And one of the side windows they replaced (from my original complaint) is also leaking. It has been over a month since I originally contacted them regarding this and I have a text message from the contractor saying he was going to put me on the schedule for the week of November 10th. Both myself and husband have left voice messages and text messages with no response. These are warranty issues they are not responding to. I also wanted to note that the response Sunrooms 4-U left in regards to the original complaint is untrue. They state they have emails and they were responsive however that is a lie. I have emails and phone records stating what they wrote is false. This has been very upsetting. I have also contacted their corporate office but they have been of no help. The sunroom was built for our dogs to stay in during the day so they have a dog door to go in and out of and its climate controlled. Im unable to use the room when there is rain in the forecast. I came home from work one day to them laying in water because the windows or seal were done incorrectly. Because of the poor quality of work my dogs were at risk of possibly being injured. The new contractor even indicated the first contractor who did the entire install did a poor job. So he admitted to our sunroom being of poor quality. Which is upsetting. Thank you for your assistance, [redacted]

Review: This company installed a new replacement piece of glass on a window on Apr 30, 2012. On Mar 5, 2014 when the windows were being washed on the outside the window would not slide open. I notified the company and was told a repair person would come out and fix the problem. It involved a plastic strip that was the wrong size preventing the window from opening. On Jun 18, 2014 two men came out and tried to fix the problem. After several tries I was told that a different piece was required and that it would be on a delivery truck next week and that they would be out in another week or two to finish the job. I have made numerous calls only to be told the manager was out of town or they would call back. I called this morning and am still waiting on a return call. This is what happens every time I have tried to get this problem solved.Desired Settlement: Finish the job.

I am rejecting this response because: It has been 9 weeks since the two men were at my home and said they had to order the parts and it would be a couple of weeks to fix the window. They also won't answer my phone messages. I am told they are not in the office and will call back later.

Response:

I have personally been in contact with [redacted] and have agreed to help him out with his window. [redacted] is not a customer of ours but we agreed to help him with his broken window. During the repair his window required new glazing bead, which we ordered from the manufacture, now we just need to get a crew scheduled to go put it in. He was told it will be the end of this week or early next week.

Thank you,

Review: On Tuesday, 09 July 2013, I ordered deck enclosure screen unit. Later, after [redacted] had left, I realized that no warranty info was on the deposit receipt. The next day, 10 July, 2013, I called [redacted] and told him, I wanted a copy of the warranty. We agreed it would be sent via Email. On the 11th, Thursday, I called [redacted] and told him that I had not received the Email. He apologized and said he would take care of it. On Friday, 12 July 2013, I received the warranty via Email. After reading it, I did not feel comfortable with what [redacted] had told me and what the warranty indicated. I text [redacted] indicating that I wanted to cancel the job. **l called me and said he would send me some paperwork to fill out. This was needed for legal purposes. As of this date, I have not received anything. Instead, I received a reply from [redacted] that the General Manager, [redacted] wanted me to contact him regarding the cancellation and releasing me from the contract. He never return my phone calls or text messages. Every time I've called, I get someone name [redacted]. She continuously tells me he is out and she will leave the message. The last time I talked to her, I told her to tell Mr. [redacted], I don't want no deals, I just want my money.

Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: My refund check for the full amount sent to me, asap. They cashed my check in 1 day. It has now been 15 days.

Business

Response:

I have tried to call Mr. [redacted] several times. He needs to call me to set a time to sign the release of contract, at which point I will refund the down payment.

Review: Gave down payment of $12,060 on February 2, 2015 for a sunroom. I have contacted the business and the sales representative several times without any response from them. It will be 4 months and have not heard a word from them. They have violated the terms of the contract as far as their promise of delivery and building the sunroom. There are many complaints on line about this company and at this point based on their lack of response and negative information I do not trust this company and I am concerned they just took my money.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my down payment since they breached the contract and I no longer trust this company.

I spoke with Mrs [redacted] Monday June 1st and explained to her the materials for her job has been in our warehouse for over a month but do to the excessive rains in March April and May we are way behind schedule. We are to start her project the end of this week and she was happy with that. Please contact her to remove this complaint,Thank you[redacted]Sunrooms4u llc

Review: Our sunroom was installed at the end of last year (2013) and beginning of this year (2014). Once the project was completed (which was a nightmare in itself) the owner was contacted several times regarding a warranty issue with the windows that were installed. Several windows are growing mold between the panes and one window has a dead insect between the panes. This was noted in February. And in February is when the owner was first contacted about this issue. After several attempts to get a response, the owner finally showed up a month later to assess the mold and agreed it was an issue and stated the panes and work to replace the panes is covered by the warranty. This was in March (2014) that he came to the house. Since then, the owner is unresponsive and my husband has only been able to get a hold of him on a couple of occasions in which the owner is very defensive and has made false promises on when the job will be done. Over a month ago the owner stated the new panes have been received at his office but he cannot be reached to have a date set to have the replacement panes installed. This has been going on for over 8 months. The owner never returns our phone calls and wont set a date for the panes to be replaced.Desired Settlement: We want the panes replaced as guaranteed in the warranty. And we want it done in the next two weeks and done correctly.

Review: We wanted a sunroom we went to Sunrooms 4-U to do it, the agreed cost $43,950.00. On March [redacted] 2013 our bank loan was approved. On March [redacted] we gave to Sunroom 4-U the 40% down payment $17,600.00 to order the room, they said it will take aprox 8 weeks for the parts to arrive, the parts arrived May [redacted] and we have a VM from [redacted] stating parts arrived but they need 30% to start working on it and it will take one week to finish it. On May [redacted] we paid 30% $13,185 . According to the contract the 30% are upon job delivery, 'til today June [redacted] (30 days), we haven't received any parts, no work done, nothing. We already paid 70% of a room that has not been built yet. Sunroom 4-U called bank around 3 weeks ago requesting 25% more and bank denied it since those 25% are upon job erection. A contractor called me yesterday that he was done with an [redacted] job and he will start today June [redacted], I asked him Are you sure you're comming on a Friday? he said yes. Of course he didn't show up and he's phone was off, it went directly to VM.

Besides this problem we have others like they promised two skylights, they will leave a pole in the middle of the room, the doors were not the ones that we ordered, the roof was not the one we ordered either; after several weeks on Tuesday June [redacted] the sales rep came to my home to sign a change order I was upset but I signed it because he said " [redacted] ([redacted]) said that if you don't sign it we're not going to move forward so as soon as I get this signed they can start working on your room... by tomorrow" he repeat it several times and so far no one showed up.Desired Settlement: We just want them to Refund our money $30,785.00 without any fees (clean) or finish the job ASAP.

Response:

Sunrooms4u, L.L.C. is installing Mr. [redacted]’s sunroom project and has been since last week. We will continue installing the project until the job is complete.

The Desired Outcome to complete the job ASAP is being done, so hopefully all is well with Mr. [redacted] now.

2 Notes:

1.We did meet with Mr. [redacted] on 6/*/2013. All items were cleared up in this meeting. A change order and drawings were signed by Mr. [redacted], which addressed all of his concerns.

These items should no longer be of concern.

2. We have not requested another 25% with the bank. We are not sure where this information came from. We called [redacted] with [redacted]. She handled the financing for this project. She also confirmed that we did not ask for any additional monies since the 30% payment on May **, 2013. *We will however require this payment after the sunroom is erect and before the electrical for the sunroom is scheduled.

Review: This complaint relates to Job # [redacted] at [redacted] which was contracted on August 31, 2013 and declared complete in a letter from [redacted], [redacted], Sunrooms4u dated January 31, 2014. This project included enclosure of a patio room, a solid cover of an adjacent patio portion and a pergola cover of an additional area. This complaint pertains to the solid cover (roof like) of the construction project and its less than adequate handling of rain water runoff.

In opening it should be noted that we are pleased with the project with the exception of the rain water runoff from the solid cover portion of the project. It should be noted that new gutter installation was a part of this construction and the rain water is not captured by the new gutter. We suspect that rain water is being trapped inside the solid cover and may damage the cover and/or the installed fan on this cover over time.

This project is covered by a lifetime warranty and since the project was declared complete on January 31, 2014 a written warranty repair request, as required by the warranty document, was forwarded to the contractor and received by his representative on March 1, 2014. To date no response to this warranty request has been received by us.

Our desire is to have this water runoff situation corrected so that water runoff is handled by the installed drain structure.Desired Settlement: Our desire is to have this water runoff situation corrected so that water runoff is handled by the installed drain structure.

Response:

We have received the complaint from the [redacted]'s. We are scheduled to be out this Thursday to address the customer's issues and make repairs to the project. We should have everything fixed at this time.

Thank you.

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because It does not complete the work required. After the work is accomplished and proven to fix the drainage problem described in our complaint we will consider the complaint resolved. A significant rain event will be necessary to prove the repairs have been completed to our satisfaction.

I acknowledge that a meeting has been scheduler for Thursday April 3.

Regards,

Business

Response:

We have responded to the complaint within the 10 day time frame required by the Revdex.com. We will leave it up to the Revdex.com to follow up and see that this customer is happy, since we have no type of time frame that can be verified for a heavy rain to occur. As with all services issues, we will attempt to repair /service the issue this Thursday. We may need to go back out again if the customer does experience any continued water issues. It could take a while to verify this.

Consumer

Response:

Accepted ONLY as an interim response. As previously stated final and total acceptance will be available ONLY upon a significant rain fall AND appropriate handling of the water runoff by the repairs made.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is, as an INTERIN RESPONSE, satisfactory to me.
