Unfortunately we are not able to modify the lease agreementOur business is governed by fair housing laws which prohibit us from making decisions with our prospects applicants or residents that go against our written policies or the lease contractWe are dissapointed that it has come to this but your lease clearly states moving out without written notice has a financial penalty associated with itThere is no possibility of changing thatYour written final account statement was sent to your new apartment address that you provided in this complaint, but not directly to usHopefully once you see the breakdown in writing it will make more sense

Mr *** moved out prior to his lease ending and without his required 60-day noticeHe was charged for termination fees ($970.00) and a concession payback ($1400.00) per his lease agreement, and per his conversation with our assistant manager on the day he brought his keys in (4/1). He
was charged for the 1st of April since he had possession of the apartment on that day and that total was $the only damages he was charged was for additional painting and sealing due to heavy smoke ($170.00) and nicotine on the walls, his % of the carpet and pad replacement ($418.10)again due to heavy odor and nicotine damage, and vertical blinds that were broken($60.00)his damages are outlined in his final account statementMr*** did not provide a forwarding address to us which was a requirement of his lease- the final account statement was returned to our office since he also didn't put in a forward through the post officewe are more than happy to send him the detailed statement that outlines all damage and fees if Mr*** would just provide us an address to send that to

When you notified us of alleged mold in the apartment, we came in within hours to resolve the issueDuring the course of fixing the problem you reported, maintenance was asked to leave on one occasion, and other vendors have been refused entryAny materials that you were concerned had mold in or on them are in my office right now, and have been tested by United Services for presence of moldThe levels of mold too far below the standard that would require remediation or cause a health issueUnited Services stated that what you may see as mold is actually the color of the foam pipe insulation (dark grey) peeking through cracking paint (white)
We have your unit specified as having been upgraded within the last yearsBecause of this your units market rent is higher than a standard unit that has not been upgradedThere are certain features that we consider to be updates, these include some or all of the following: Appliances, Countertops, Cabinets, 6-panel doors, light fixtures, baseboards, flooring updates, and even paintIf you would like to view a non-updated apartment in order to see the value in the apartment that you are in, we would be more than happy to show you
In order to address the issues you are having with the squirrels, we will need to have access granted to the exterminatorThe last times he has been there he is being refusedAlso keep in mind that there are no storage units at Taravue that are to be used for anything besides indoor/outdoor itemsThe storage areas are not heated or cooled and most were not even built with a ceilingStoring anything of value that cannot withstand the elements is not recommended
Our staff is not responsible for tagging of any vehicles on propertyThere is a 3rd party company who takes care of that called Big Boys TowingThe only reasons why they would be able to tag a vehicle is for expired tags, inoperable, or for being improperly parkedThe company has had a monitoring contract with us for more than a year, and comes out once a week to monitor and enforce
Please let us know if you have any information or details on who is not picking up after their petSince I was transferred to Taravue at the beginning of January, I have been cracking down on this and would appreciate any help in my efforts to enforce our policy of picking up after our pets
We are not able to show any apartments to a future resident unless the apartment is in 'ready' condition and has passed its inspection by the countySince the apartment was still occupied by the previous resident until the beginning of October- we were unable to show you the apartment until closer to middle of October which was only days before your 10/move in date

I am rejecting this response because:
I would like to know what the concession payback isNo one explained anything to meThe blinds were fine when I left, so I think it’s ridiculous to pay $The carpet was clean when I leftI did smoke in there, I am not denying thatI didn’t give them a forwarding address because I didn’t have one at the timeI was freezing during the winter and I was on blood thinner so I couldn’t even stay there

*** *** does not owe any money to Taravue Park Apartments Her email address was incorrectly listed under another tenant's information, so she was sent a notice that was addressed to another person's name I apologized to *** and removed her email from the resident's account so
she would not receive any additional correspondence from us I also sent her letter stating she does not owe any money to Taravue Park Apartments A copy of the letter is attached to this email I am not sure why this person has chosen to submit a complaint because we have done everything she has asked for We apologized for the mistake, and corrected it, so no further action is needed

Your written final account statement was sent to your new apartment address that you provided in this complaint, but not directly to us. Hopefully once you see the breakdown in writing it will make more sense.
