My name is ***, I am the store managerI am the associate that shipped her four packagesI did advise her that if they were not packaged to UPS standards and if they are damaged then it would be possible that the claim could be deniedI offered to repackage them and even gave her a quote but
she quickly denied my offer because she said that she packed it with extra packaging materials to secure itI also stated that if I did repackage it she would be covered under the pack and ship guarantee that UPS providesAgain she denied my offer so I proceed to ship her packages with the insurance amount that she requestedWe are just the retail location, I did my part by getting her packages shipped to the correct location and offered her a professional packaging service, which she refusedUPS did there part by assessing the package and tending to her claimUPS denied her claim not us. The UPS Store is not UPS. We are a separate company. The UPS Store is just the middle man in the shipping process. The complainant already stated that the sewing machine company ships these machines around the country with the same type of packing she used with no problem. So she probably believes that was sufficient packing and didn't want to pay more money for us to repack
