June 17, 2014Dear Sir or Madam,This reply is in regard to the above mentioned complaint in which *** *** of *** ** *** *** *** ** ** ***, CA alleges that in the process of applying for a checking account, the Credit Union did not seek his authorization to check his
credit.Unfortunately the Credit Union cannot comply with his request to have the credit inquiry deleted because *** authorized the credit inquiry upon his application for a checking account.In addendum hereto, kindly find a copy of the Application Screen in which *** clicked in agreement in conformity to the E-Sign ActIn addition, please find a copy of the necessary disclosures which clearly state that the Credit Union will seek to verify his personal information with credit reporting agencies.While the Credit Union sympathizes with ***'s employment situation, the fact of the matter remains that we cannot make an exception for one individual without making them for all.Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at 866-TOBYFCU.Regards,

Review: I received a loan from Tobyhanna Army Depot FCU on 06/04/2012. Two months later on 08/08/2012 I found out the credit union signed me up for Credit Life and Disability Insurance without my approval that I clearly stated I denied. I was told by email that in order to drop the coverage I would have to sign an Subsequent Action Agreement. The Credit Union also had lost my payroll deduction form and was told I would have to sign another deduction form. I did go to to the credit union to sign these forms but after Jen at the credit union explained the charges for the loan, that it was good to keep the Insurance coverage on a motorcycle I left the coverage on the loan and Only signed the Payroll deduction form. I became disabled on 04/10/2013. I contacted the credit union to file a Disability Claim on my Motorcycle loan. I am being told I signed the Subsequent Agreement to drop the Insurance when in fact I never did sign anything to drop the Insurance Coverage. The credit union sent me a copy of the subsequent action form. Non of the hand writing is mine. They apparently droped this Insurance coverage without my knowledge or approval either by their mistake or by fraud.Desired Settlement: I want Tobyhanna Federal Credit Union to honor my disability claim for my loan #08 since they made the mistakes on this loan and removed the Insurance coverage without my knowledge or further concent to remove it. Again I never consented removal of the Insurance coverage by Signing a Subsequent Action to modify my loan agreement so either they made a big mistake or defrauded me in which I will proceed with legal action.

I recently applied to open an account with TobyHanna Credit union. While I was looking over the checking account information application, it did not state that there as going to be a credit check conducted to qualify me for membership.

So after I sent in an application, the credit union authorized a hard pull for my credit. This greatly affected my credit score and with as fragile as my credit is right now, it put my employment at risk. I as called in by my division chief to explain all of this to him.

If I had known that TobyHanna was going to do a hard pull on my credit, I would of never attempted to open an account with them. They really need to add this in their disclosure.

Please help me. If I lose my job, I'm going to lose my home.Desired Settlement: I would like TobbyHanna FCU to remove the Hard Inquiry that was placed on my credit report.
