***Revdex.com of Greater Kansas City*** *** ***, *** ***Kansas City, MO ***RE: Consumer Complain # *** Claim ID ***Dear Ms ***:It has been almost a year since I canceled the trip on August 7, I have been dealing with too many employees from Trip-mate, including Mrs*** ***, Executive Vice President of Trip mate, but they are only giving me all kind of excuses not to pay my claim.Please note the following items already mentioned on my previous correspondence 1.- I did not cancel the trip due to shingles, colitis, stress, flu, etceven though I had them all, these were only temporary medical conditionsI canceled the trip on doctor's advice, because of my spinal injury caused by the car accident(I had bulging discs on the cervical and lumbar areas, numbness on hands and feet, pain etc.) I would like to know why Trip mate has not requested RECORDS, MRI's, X RAYS, etcfrom my Orthopedic doctor, DrRichard Thunder?. On August 11, 2015, I sent to Trip mate the signed authorization for release of information.2.- I paid the travel insurance and the final payment for the tour on June 18, 2015, according to the instructions of the Travel Protection Plan Summary from Trip mate that states: "PURCHASE THIS PLAN AT OR BEFORE THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE DATE AND THE EXCLUSION FOR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS WILL BE WAIVED." Trip mate should honor their Plan and refund my money immediatelyA copy of the Travel Protection Plan # *** was sent to Revdex.com.3.- I already sent all the information I got from my travel companion, Dr *** ***. I am rejecting this response because: The Zika virus is
noted for causing birth defects to an unborn childMy doctor advised that I was not able to travel to Barbados due to risking my unborn daughter's healthThe Zika virus was a new issue and had not been taken into consideration in their policiesI would also like to note that resorts and airlines were allowing cancellation based on these concerns.

9/21/17. I am still disgusted with this company and the lack of customer service, the tactics of deny and delay, and the poor training of employees. I received a check but not an apology which was part of my request. I have no doubt that this company would not have responded to me without the complaint via the Revdex.com. This company requests a ream of paper, then requests more and gives inaccurate information by phone. I have no doubt that part of their business practice is to frustrate those who submit a claim into losing patience and abandoning hope of reimbursement. Even though the claim is technically settled, I am not satisfied and would rate this company as poor. Thank you for your help in securing payment from this company with very poor customer service. find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. 
Based on the wording of their response, I waited to see the actual amount refunded.  It was for the full amount insured.  I thank you for the help,as it was only after you contacted them that they finally reviewed the claim and paid it out.  Regardless, 6 weeks to review a basic travel claim, where there is no need for an adjuster to visit property, is not acceptable.  Further, the calls I made to them were met with excuses versus action.  Please make sure this complaint is visible to anyone that conducts research of the company on your web site.

because:  the. United Stars Department of Health And Human Services representative agrees no information regarding an uninsured person' health has any reason to be provided to anyone who is not a health provider not insurer.
  To ask for an attending physician's signed statement regarding an uninsured or unlisted third party is clearly an over/reach of an insurer to prevent payment of a claim of two listed insured parties.

They not only failed to answer us promptly, they waited a full week after approving our claim to even tell us it was approved. Furthermore, they didn't even answer the e-mail from you, the Revdex.com for 2 months. If they don't have any more respect for you than this, it should be obvious they don't care about their customers. However, we have our money, thanks to your getting involved and we don't want to waste any more time with this company that has a horrible customer service department.

because: The attached letter from Vantage travel dated July 15, 2016 states the options, the first provides no benefit at all since the airfare is already paid and there is no offer of any refund if we immediately return.  At least in the second option, we would get a very small credit of $250.00 for a future booking assuming we would ever travel with Vantage again after this experience.
