complaint #[redacted].To: [email protected], I filed a complaint, #[redacted] and the business responded by contacting me and sending me the money they owed me. How can I close this complaint and mark it as resolved?  Thank you guys very much.  Without you, this matter would not have been resolved until I brought it to court.  Please let me know ASAP how I can request this complaint to be closed.  I couldn't figure that out on the website.  Take care, [redacted].

Review: Friday 6/13/14 My father and I went to Trust Auto to pick up a 2004 [redacted]. When we arrived the sales associates were sitting around a hookah smoking pot. My bank had already sent them my money so I couldn't back out of the sale and I was afraid to call the police. It took two sales associates to do the bill of sale because they were so high. Once it came time to sign the paperwork they all of a sudden told me there was not warranty and it was being sold as is. I want to get out of there so I said fine. It had an inspection sticker so I thought at least it passed inspection. When I left the dealership I wanted to call the police but I was afraid to. After about a day I realized something was very wrong. On Monday June 16th I send the salesman a text message asking what was wrong with it. He said when he test drove the [redacted] it was fine. I informed him over several text message conversations that there was a grinding and burning smell, the alignment was bad, the knob to turn the heat and a/c on and off was broken and I couldn't direct where it would blow. When I drove and got to 60mph the entire vehicle started to violently shake to the point I could barely control the vehicle. The breaks were bad. He told me to bring it back and he wouldn't charge me much to fix it. I couldn't drive the vehicle back because it was unsafe to drive. I asked him to take the vehicle back, exchange it or refund the money I was putting into it. After looking at the inspection sticker I realized it was not filled out with my vehicles information so I went online to look at the requirements for the Virginia State inspection. At least 6 of the items on the list were things that I had already paid to repaired or still needed to be repaired. With all of those things the [redacted] would not have passed inspection. It is illegal to sell a vehicle in the state of Virginia that has an invalid inspection. Whether knowingly or not Trust Auto sold this [redacted] which did not have the vehicle information on the inspection sticker and which would fail an inspection. I am asking Trust Auto to take the vehicle back. Refund the purchase price and the $783.68 in repair I have spent on the vehicle. Considering if the vehicle had been properly inspected they would have had to pay to repair these items or disclosed that they existed before selling me the vehicle.Desired Settlement: Refund the purchase price and the $783.68 in repair I have spent on the vehicle. Considering if the vehicle had been properly inspected they would have had to pay to repair these items or disclosed that they existed before selling me the vehicle.

Response:

My name is Mike. I am a manager at Trust Auto Inc. This is about the complaint from [redacted]. Compaint ID is [redacted] indeed wasn't happy about her purchase and wanted to return the vehicle. The vehicle was sold as is and with valid Virginia State State Inspection on it. Although it was an as is sale, we have still took the vehicle back from her and refunded her full payment ($10333.33). In addition we reimbursed her the expenses she had at a mechanic shop repairing some parts of the vehicle($783.68). We officially cancelled the sale and she doesn't have any complaints to us currently. On the letter to Revdex.com she also mentioned about smoking pot at the dealership which is a false statement and accusation. Nobody ever have smoked pot or consumed any kind of illegal drugs at our dealership. Please don't post this complaint for public. This is not an accurate information and false accusation. Please call me anytime at ###-###-#### regarding this matter.Mike K[redacted]Manager at Trust Auto Inc

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The Virginia state inspection was not a valid inspection! The state police are investigating how the vehicle got a sticker because there was no way the vehicle could pass inspection. I have records that show Trust auto had the vehicle inspected at one location who failed the vehicle then a few days later Trust Auto took the vehicle to another location where it miraculously passed even thou nothing from the original inspection was fixed. They were indeed smoking pot out of a 3ft tall hookah! All of the associates that were present were under the influence of drugs no if ands or buts about it! And the only reason they canceled the sale is because I filled a civil law suite against them. It is time for the public to be informed and made aware of the corrupt business practices of Trust Auto.

I too am filing a civil lawsuit. Seeing all of the BBB complaints and other reviews. What they have done to me. And continue to do is auto fraud. Misrepresentation. They have caused me so many problems. I wouldn’t doubt the drugs. Or immigration status since all of the employees are Russian their files say. Shady shady shady. And so funny the business is TRUST Auto. Yeah right. All I want is them to buy the lemon of a car they sold me, back. But now after all the troubles. Almost 4 months without my WORK car to provide for my family. That’s a lot of suffering my family has endured, at their hands. I’m sorry you also got scammed by them
