Customer vehicle was brought in (by wife) for Missouri motor vehicle inspection and failed Customer (husband) called in and said he disagreed with the results of the inspection (failed by our inspector for various suspension issues) We advised him per [redacted] [redacted] guidelines, he needed to take his vehicle to the [redacted] located in Springfield MO Also per guideline, we told the customer if the [redacted] instructed our shop to pass the vehicle in its present condition, we would be directed by them to do so The customer has the right to take the vehicle to another shop, and get another opinion, but that shop's opinion does not alter ours another Shop can pass or fail a vehicle even after it has been brought to our facility, but it doesn't change the fact we failed the vehicle for the reasons listed on the yellow format that was given to the customer when they left.We performed a motor vehicle inspection, and we charge $whether the vehicle passes or not, therefore we would not have any reason to refund for services we performed We do our jobs every day to the best of our ability, and we stand behind our inspector's decision to fail this particular vehicle, so our decision is we do not owe an apology for doing the work the customer asked for when they came to our shop
