RIP OFF ALERT!! I have a top of the line 16 seer Rheem that Universal Air and Heat installed just two years ago with a 10 year "warranty" for parts. When I needed service for a minor part...they tried to charge me $265 for labor on a 20 minute visit!! When I spoke to a manager and asked him how the labor is broken down to justify $265 his response was "that's just what we charge" I have tried contacting the owner but was put off. Don't get screwed like I did!!!

I used this company recently for duct cleaning and a residential air conditioning tune up. The duct cleaning was great and they were very professional. I was told the air conditioning check was also done but a week later my unit started to malfunction. I called the company and was told oh sorry the technician that came out was not certified to do work on Ac units and they would have to send a qualified technician out at another additional charge to do the work. I am very dissapointed and feel as if I have been lied to. They should have said that from the beginning instead of charging me just under $600.00 for everything. I will not use this company again because I feel as if they scammed me (the customer) into telling me everything would be completed including the drain line, instead just another typical company who is not honest.

Owner of the company is all about customer service. I had an issue with the installers a few months ago and I was not happy at all . When I contacted the company they apologized for the inconvenience and came out right away and the senior tech came out and took care of everything and apologized . I am very happy with this company and I will recommend them .

I had several estimates from different companies since my ac was 15 years old and the rebates were going to end. So I chose universal air for a rheem unit.they installed the unit but only one person did all the work and it took hours until late after dark. After that we had multiple leaks from unit and had line flushed.and before the years end we had water damage with a large leak. We called company and they charged us to come out and the service rep was nasty everytime. They finally came out and reinstalled the unit because it was improperly installed. They did not replace the soaked box and we were told we would have to pay 500 dollars to rebuild the box. They charged me when it leaked again. I was told that the position of unit was still not properly installed.luckly the restoration company had their ac company come out and reinstall and rebuild the box. I do not recommend universal air to come out to anyones house. The price seemed right but not in the longrun. Any company that charges you to come out within that first year and with multiple problems, should not be in business. They should be accountable for their actions and there shotty work.

used this company previously and so tried to use them again. Estimator arrived on time, quoted for the work and arranged a start date and time. Any changes and I would be called. Friday arrived but the engineer didn't. After two calls from me and 5 hours after the specified time I cancelled the appointment. After my first call I was told he was 15 miles away and to allow him 45 minutes. I waited one and a half hours before calling to be told it would be another hour until he arrived. This for a job which was supposed to take all day with a start time of between 10 and 11.. Extremely poor service. No calls to me to say there would be a delay and no apology.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. [redacted] from Universal Air and Heat. I must say from being a professional Firefighter Paramedic, you should treat everyone with the upmost respect. The moment that Mr. [redacted] walked into my home to service my AC system, he has been nothing but a professional courtesy guy. I highly recommend him. Great guy
