With all due respect, the refrigerator that MsS [redacted] purchased is months old now and WDC does not have the authority to authorize an exchangeGE, the manufacturer, sets the policy for exchanges or refunds for defective merchandise, not the retailerMsS [redacted] is correct regarding the one year warranty; however, it's GE who offers this--not WDCMsS [redacted] will need to contact GE and set up a service call to correct/repair any malfunction she is currently experiencing with her refrigerator If GE determines her unit is a lemon, they will replace it for herIt's unfortunate that our company is not authorize to exchange MsS [redacted] unit for a new oneAgain, this is GE's policy not OursGE will need to authorize the exchange Kind regards, D***

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: WDC is selling warranties from companies that do not provide the proper serviceThey need to make the consumer aware there is no guarantee that by having the extended warranty, that they sell, their appliance will actually be properly repaired in the event of a breakdownWDC did not stand behind the warranty they sold and the warranty repair resulted in damage to our unit Regards, [redacted]

The store manager has been in contact with the customer for the replacement part Which was delayed from the manufacture, the service has been scheduled to replace the broken part

I am rejecting this response because: It should be noted that the salesperson sold me a refrigerator and freezer and assured me that I would qualify for an $rebate As it turns out he did not sell me the freezer that qualified for the rebate I also had a problem with the unit humming I called for a service appointment which the salesperson arranged I called him back within the hour to tell him to reschedule the appointment and gave him several scheduling options He never called back This is typical because I have never received a call back from the Torrance store The company came to service the refrigerator and of course I was not home The phone number left with the service company was not even close to my phone number so they could not get a hold of me We are now trying to deal with Thermador directly I have spent numerous hours trying to resolve issues with this company The communication is poor

The customer was refunded in full for $ on May 31st. It takes a few days for the credit card company to show the credit back to the cardThis was refunded back to the customer in a timely manner

On behalf of the customer we reached out to the extended warranty company to contact the customer and resolve this matter directlyThe extended warranty company is not related to WDC

I am rejecting this response because:WDC management has not contacted me, nor informed
me of any scheduled repair of my refrigeratorI have already had the refrigerator repaired so if even if it was true that WDC contacted me and scheduled a repair of my refrigerator subsequent to my filing this complaint with the Revdex.com, I would have rejected this offer WDC has falsely claimed to have made.What WDC did offer after I repaired my refrigerator at my own expense, was to schedule a replacement of my refrigerator with a new oneAny offer to repair or replace my refrigerator would have been acceptable if WDC had made such offer before I had the refrigerator repairedI view WDC's offer, in response to my Revdex.com complaint, to replace my refrigerator as made in bad faithWDC knew when they offered to replace my refrigerator in response to my Revdex.com complaint, that I would be unlikely to replace my refrigerator once it had been repaired.I repeat, WDC never ever contacted me about scheduling a repair of my refrigerator, so I reject this offer as being merely the latest in a series of bad faith representations from WDC
