I am unaware what this is for on my credit report. I have not received anything in the mail or phone calls regarding this that I know of. I have tried to call to find out what this is for, only to be out on hold for a long time or dropped call with no call back.

Review: I used to attend a college in PA called [redacted]. I left it not long after, and was soon receiving calls telling me that I had to pay for the rest of my tuition. However, as I had been making payments, there was a settlement between them, my father, and myself which was paid. Then we started receiving calls telling us to pay MORE than what had already been paid. Now they have this company calling me every day trying to collect money for something that, if both they and [redacted] would check their records, was already settled. Thanks to them, my credit has taken a hit because no one will look back and see that my father and I already paid [redacted] what we owed them. Not to mention the fact that their staff is rude and uncaring in their dealings with me. I'm not sending any money to them because, as I've said, the account was paid and I'm not wasting my hard earned money on someone that's only going to keep harrassing me with calls to my house. I'm unable to get my apartment because these people have filed it on my credit score as a collection attempt when there is NOTHING to collect in the first place!Desired Settlement: I want them to remove the information that was filed on my credit report since the issue was already resolved. Besides that, I only want them to leave me and my family alone and stop calling us as well as sending me letters. We've taken care of the account in question and there is proof to back up that claim.

Response:

I received [redacted]'s complaint. The school is does not have any record of [redacted] or her father paying the balance of her tuition or a settlement amount.

In an effort to resolve this matter we have closed [redacted]'s file & returned it to our client. Any entries to her credit history have been deleted.

I would suggest [redacted] contact [redacted] directly to provide them with the proper documentation showing her payment.

Sincerely,

[redacted], Manager

Review: I was going through my credit report when I found this business listed on it in a derogatory marks section. I have not been contacted by this company or anyone associated with it. I want the information as to why it is there and what the charge is for. It was listed as originally form March of 2013. I signed up for or authorized anything around that time last year.Desired Settlement: I want this removed from my credit report from all 3 credit bureaus.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

I received your complaint for **. [redacted]. I have attached a copy of **. [redacted] enrollment contract with our client [redacted] School. This account is for the Computer Information Systems AS Degree Program he enrolled in on 5/4/2011. He has completed 31% of the semester. The balance due for that semester is $ 1,361.30.

As a courtesy I will have any entries on his credit history from USCB Corporation removed.

If **. [redacted] has any other questions concerning his account, he can contact me directly @ ###-###-####.

Sincerely,

[redacted], Manager

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

This does not actually settle the issue. I attempted to cancel shortly after the enrollment. I was told I could not cancel until I received the handbooks. (That was about a month after enrollment) Once I received the handbooks I completed some of the course work. I was informed I could cancel anytime up until 50% of the course was done. When I called to cancel the final time ( Because I was informed the school is not accredited and the credits transfer NO WHERE and the whole program was a scam) I was told that my account was closed and all money paid would be used to cover the costs for the material. I am not sure where the amount of $1361 comes from since I was required to pay $39 up front, the maximum the balance could be is $1331. I also made several payments so again this is a fraudulent total. I was issued 2 magazine type books and a math book that was dated 2005, which was first clue that this was a joke of a school. This needs to be removed from my report and considered closed like I was told it was back in 2011 when all of this started.

Regards,

Review: I settled a debt that had been placed with this collection agency on behalf of [redacted]. I have settled this debt in April 2014, I have made numerous calls to have the trade file removed from the three credit bureaus. I am told each time that the issue would be escalated and I would receive a call back, unfourtunately I have not received a call back regarding this request. The account currently is still reporting under collections on my credit it shows a current balance of $0 and shows it was closed as of 12/31/1969. I need this item removed so that I can obtain a home loanDesired Settlement: The desired outcome is to have the item deleted from all three credit bureaus.

Response:

I have reviewed [redacted]'s records. On April 8, 2014 [redacted] called our office. She agreed to pay a settlement to close her account with our client. Once that settlement was paid we closed our file, notified our client & updated her credit history to a settled in full for a lesser value status.

Based on credit reporting guidelines that is the proper way to update someones credit history if they pay less than the full value of the debt. That entry would normally remain on your credit history for 7 years.

As a courtesy to [redacted] I have requested all four credit bureaus to remove this entry from her credit history. Please give the bureaus at least 30 days to update their records.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Elena S[redacted], Manager

Regards,

Review: I just obtained a copy of my credit report and found the following derogatory collection item with a partial account number of [redacted] being reported by USCB Corporation.

The original creditor is [redacted], a for profit school, that just like this rogue collector takes advantage of underprivileged and ignorant people who simply do not know any better.

I have never had any contact with either the collector or their client. Having said that, the collector is in violation of the FDCPA, because they did not even inform me of this debt, nor gave me an opportunity to dispute it and or request validation of it.Desired Settlement: I demand the immediate removal of this account at once, because it is not mine. I will also be filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania's Office of Attorney General.

Business

Response:

I received [redacted]'s complaint concerning an incorrect entry on her credit history. I have reviewed our records for account number [redacted]. We are trying to contact a person with the same name as [redacted], however our contact information is different (address, phone & email). It appears that the credit bureaus have placed this on her credit history in error. Please see my attached letter advising [redacted] that I have requested all four bureaus remove this entry from her credit history. That request was processed in my office today.

If she has any further questions, please don't hestiate to contact me.
