Companies failure to provide service
Towards the beginning of April I called and paid $94 and some change to them to provide me with service. Right off the bat they were late bringing a can out. For weeks now they wouldn't pick up my trash, everytime I called no one would answer. I finally got in touch with someone the week of the 17th. They said they canceled my service, I would receive a refund with 7 days and someone would be out to get the can either that week or no later than Monday. Over a week later I still have yet to receive a refund. They have not picked up their can. Now they are telling me I won't receive a refund until May and they will send someone for the can. My new trash company even got the trash out of their can that they failed to get. Alot of other homes even have their service on my road. I don't understand. At this point I just want my money back!

Desired Outcome

At this point I just want the money back that I've paid out to them for nothing and compensation for my time I've wasted trying to get help.

I wish I would have read these reviews when they brought out Peach state. I would have changed companies. Curbside has missed my trash on four different occasions. This last instance I called on the day the trash was supposed to be picked up (Friday) TO LET THEM KNOW THEY MISSED MY TRASH AGAIN. Nicole told me she was going to put me on the courtesy pick-up list for Monday. And guess what Monday comes and goes and my trash is still sitting outside. I CALLED TODAY Tuesday morning and Nicole swears out she never spoke to me or my fiance. She claims she never told me she was going to put me on the list and send courtesy service on Monday. And the worst thing about the conversation is she kept calling me GIRL. Never in my life have I been referred to as GIRL while talking to someone in customer service. I dont even want to reach out to the managers Grace after reading the review about her. I AM GLAD TO CANCEL MY SERVICE.

Curbside did not provide service promised or refund our money/cancel our service as promised. Extremely rude and hard to communicate with.
We attempted to utilize Curbside Waste for our trash service. We paid $60 for the first 3 months and set up auto billing. They promised to get us a trash can within 2 days, this ended up taking over a week therefore one pick up was missed. The proceeded to skip our house and not pick up trash for some reason. Of the 5 weeks we were with them they only picked up our trash one time and when we cancelled only agreed to refund us $24.00, this makes no sense when service is $60 for 3 months. They are extremely rude and difficult to communicate with, refuse to attempt to fix their mistakes and instead blame the consumer. We also never received the cancellation via email they promised, ANY refund at all or an email notification for notice of refund (all which they promised). With this company you have to call multiple times to get anything done IF they do it at all. They are thieves, plain and simple.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund for payment or at least very close since they made promises they never kept and provided us no service except one trash pick up.

Despite failing to pick up trash and recycling on several occasions the owner refused refund or deduction from the current invoice.
I paid extra for the recycling to be picked up every other week for three months and this was only
Picked up twice. The owner stopped the recycling program. The owner picked up the trash and left the recycling bin full. I visited the office twice regarding this problem and the owner refused a refund or to apply the difference to my bill. On Thursday 12/19/19 the trash was not picked up again and the owner provided no explanation. His employee stated the trash may
Be picked up the next week.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking immediate refund and removal of the companies container and contained trash.

I called on 12/23 because my garbage can was damaged/destroyed by the men on the truck I watch them throw my can down after emptying and then just drove off after they picked up my garbage on that same day. The nasty girl that answered the phone told me it would be 3 days to get a new can. Today is 12/31 still no garbage can can and that piece of *** has been sitting in from of my house for over a week now. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE OFFICE STAFF.
IF I HAD A CHOICE I WOULD NOT USE THIS BUSINESS, NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE!

I have been with them for a few months and I have gotten trash picked up 3 or 4 times but on Fri Nov 15, 2019 and Fri Nov 22 was not picked up.
On Fri Nov 15, 2019 and Fri Nov 22 was not picked up because of that my trash been attacked by animals due their negligence. All the employees that answers the phone are very rude at the office.which I have spoken with three different people with horrible attitudes like its my fault. The first time I called they said they will make sure its picked up on the Friday of my next delivery and noted it will be a lot of trash but never showed and then when I called the second time, which by then animals attacked again twice. The manager told me at 12:45 pm Friday on my scheduled delivery day that the drivers had went home for the day and they don't know what happened again. She told me we will send someone Monday 11.25.2019 but make sure you put the trash out the night before because they will be between 5:30am- 6:30am since its not a scheduled day. Now it is Monday morning at 9:46am 11.25.2019, no show again so I called the office and the lady on the phone had an attitude when I asked about my pick up like its my fault my trash wasn't picked up for the 3rd time. She said they will pick up when they finish their route unless it was around their normal Monday route even after the manager told me something totally different. They are very unprofessional and rude and should not be able to deal with customers. I only got an sincere apology the 1st time I called because the 2nd time the apology was, I"m sorry they didn't come but there is nothing I can do. This is very frustrating when you are paying every month for a service that is not getting done.

Increase in quarterly invoice form $57.99 to $108.00 with no notice or warning. 86% price increase.
My quarterly invoice for household trash pickup has always been $57.99 since I became a customer. This was the price they quoted and that to which I agreed. Recently, I received an invoice for the upcoming quarter (Dec - Feb) and the price jumped from $57.99 to $108.00 Surely that was a typo, right? Unfortunately no. An employee left me a voice message informing me that the 86% price increase was correct (they didn't say 86% though, just verified the increase) and then the employee kind of laughed and said it was lucky I had avoided an earlier price increase.

I don't find this particular practice funny. Customers should be given advance notice of upcoming price increases. Particularly where this company has a monopoly on household trash pickup and there are no other alternatives. The price increases were deceptive and not fully disclosed in advance.

Desired Outcome

The optimal resolution would be a return to the previous agreed upon price. If the company wants to raise their fees by a modest (more reasonable) amount, there should be advance notice to the customers informing them of upcoming changes in service fees.

This response does not address my concerns but at this point its a useless effort on my part and I'm tired of dealing with this anyway. I've already cancelled my service and I'll continue to give this company negative ratings on social media and to my friends and neighbors although honestly it doesn't seem like they care really.

I don't expect a response to the following.

1. As stated, there are NO OTHER companies that provide household garbage service in this area. NONE If you are aware of one please forward their information to me.

2. Morgan county transfer stations for household garbage are FREE. There is no cost to drop off garbage for county residents other than the manpower to drive to the transfer stations.

3. You state landfill and fuel prices have increased. Landfill and fuel prices have not increased 86% in the last three months, or in the last year, or even in the last three years. If you disagree show me the price increases you're referring to and how they correlate to the increases you're passing *** to your consumers.

But most importantly, you've missed the entire point:

My complaint is not that you've raised prices, it's that you've raised prices without advance notice. Coupled with the fact that you are the only company that provides this service in this area (see above) and this results in no options to the consumer but to accept the (very high) price increase or lose the service entirely.

In my opinion, this is unfair to consumers with no other choice.

As a Curbside customer, we do value your opinion and input. For that reason we would like to provide a little more information and history.

1. Advanced Disposal does provide service in some part of your area and may be another option to pursue.

2. Morgan County Landfill has confirmed that the taxes residents in Morgan County pay do include the landfill fee - it is not a separate fee and included in the overall tax. It is an option for Morgan County residents for their residential and/or recycling. The rate for commercial haulers is not free it is $65 per ton.

3. In 2018 there was a substantial increase in landfill rates for commercial haulers from $36 per ton to $40 per ton. Our transfer station rate went from $43 per ton to $48 and this year to $51 per ton. Our diesel fuel has increased from $2.31 per gallon to $3.11 per gallon.

We do not take rate increases lightly. So many factors come into play for us to take into consideration ie, the landfill increases, fuel increases, insurance expense increases, maintenance expenses on our trucks, labor and our time. Our office is in Conyers which is at least a 30 minute from the Madison area one way.

We took over Piedmont Sanitation around in 2016. We kept the existing rate from Piedmont at $57 until 2018 before our first increase to $72 (which was not applied to your account) and the latest increase this year to $108.

Giving advance notice of rate increases has not been our practice, however we will take it into consideration going forward. It was not our intent to be unfair and apologize that it came across that way.

We are disappointed to see you go, but respect your decision. If you decide at a later time to come back we would welcome you back.

I have been an customer with Curbside Waste for 3 years but since I am moving the services that I have been receiving are not good.
First I was told that I would get a credit for my services since I was moving and that was not true.
Then I have paid for services through the month of August but my trash has yet to been picked up today. I have contacted the company several times today and they keep saying the system is down. But I just spoke to someone 2o mins ago and they were able to pull up my account and see that I had paid through August. Whenever I try to talk to Grace she does not give an explanation just a run around.

We paid for services and never received our trash can. I called twice and spoke to Grace, the office manager, who was extremely rude and ignored my issue. After weeks of trying to get someone to solve this issue I decided to go up to the office and speak with the owner in person. The second he realized I was about to voice a complaint he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back to the waiting room and said "tell her your address". He was so angry and mean that I was terrified and irate. How do people get away with this?!

They are not fulfilling the commitment.
Trash is not picked up on the agreed upon day. The pick-up day changes after the initial pick up has already been missed AND they missed new day! There is 2 weeks of trash at my house which is well over their 10 bags a week limit! I'm rarely able to get through on the phone and calls are not returned.

I recently called customer service and finally left a message that a car had gone off the road and broke my trash can..one wheel was off & the bottom was cracked. That happened on a Wed. pm.
They picked up my trash same as usual on Thursday am. I called several times on Thursday to get a new can. Finally, I left a voicemail late that pm. No one called me back on Friday so I finally called again and actually got a live person. She said she would have them a new can which they did on Monday. I have never had a problem with them until recently. I think taking over Peach State may have been too much for them. But no matter what, as long as they pick up my trash I am very happy.

Our trash has not been picked up and noone answers the phone nor returns messages!
Are they out of business??? Our trash has not been picked up. My neighbors and I have all called several times every day and no one answers. Recording sends you to voicemail. We have all left many messages and sent emails but get no resonse. We pay $46 a month. We should atleast get a returned call, or a refund!

Desired Outcome

I've been a customer for 5 years. They should have the decency to return my calls or emails. I just paid for 6 months in advance. I want my trash picked up and account credited, or a full refund!

After 8 days I finally spoke to someone today. First she lied and said my can was not out on Monday, 06/10/2019 at 8AM when the driver came by. I told her it was on the curb at 5:pm the day before so that was a straight lie! Then when that didn't work she said it didn't matter that they skipped us last week because he emptied "2" cans today, their can and my Personal Gray 30 Gal can and that made it even. No Apology, No Nothing! I asked her who was going to clean the maggots out of my can now, after they left in on my curb for 2 weeks? She said they didn't clean cans. I told her they could pick the stinky can up today because it smelled so bad I didn't want it next to my house. Also, I just paid for 6 months in advance and wanted my payment refunded. Now no one will talk to me regarding my refund.
After 5 years of service with that company I can't believe the lame excuses she gave me, even lied to me, instead of admitting they simply messed up and would make it right... I hate changing companies but apparently they have a new way to do business and no longer care about the service they provide anymore. The way they have handled mine and my neighbors situation this whole week is unacceptable!
After over 12 voicemails between us, and 3 emails, all ignored... we thought the company had closed their doors without notifying anyone!

terrible service. curbside bought out our existing trash com PEACHSTATE. ever since we have not had a pickup. was supposed to be picked up on monday, no show, we called said it was to be picked up on tuesday, no show. now thursday 4/6/19 and still no pickup. at all cost try and avoid this company as you can not speak to anyone or have them answer emails let alone get a call back. not worth the aggravation when their are other companies to do business with. they sure wanted my 36 dollars to continue service quickley. we sent them achk and they greatfully cashed almost immeadiately. we are going to ask for a refund or take the necesary actions to get it for the months not used.

Customer for over a year with no service complaints until I questioned why the driver got out of his truck after they had already picked up my garbage, walked across my grass and came up toward my door at 5AM. The supervisor chewed me out, told me I was lying and that his staff would never do that. He asked me if I had proof even though I told him I watched the driver do it. He accused me of saying his staff were trying to steal, I told him I didn't know why he would come up to my door and that is what I was complaining about. The supervisor later called back and angrily said the driver said he was verifying my address because the numbers on my mailbox were not clear. (There are no mailboxes at the houses in this subdivision and my home is well lit because the street light is on my property.) I then told the supervisor that as a customer I had a right to inquirew hat was going on and that he didn't handle my concern in a professional way. He then yelled at me and told me he that he handled it that way because he is an as hole. I was shocked.

You said you thought my driver was coming to steal a package off of your front porch but then he seen that it was a flower pot. You were never told you were a lying. You told the owner he was an ***, he agreed with you but never yelled. The owner called the driver immediately and called you back within 5 minutes. You continued to question him about why the customer was walking in the grass.

In the last year this company has failed to pick up my trash on 3 occasions. On each occasion I have been told that they would send someone out that day to collect the trash. They have never shown up and skipped trash pickup is picked up the next week on the regular schedule pick up day. I pay my bill every quarter on time. I pay for weekly pickup but I am not getting what I have paid for.

New Service Issue.
I obtained Curbside for garbage pickup. New Service. I called 1 week before the scheduled pickup date/day. I was told to put the bags on the side of my drive way or in a can that we have. The garbage was not picked up the scheduled day I was told. I called around noon to verify if it was going to be picked up. I was told I would be called back to confirm. I did not get a call back I called them again about 1.5 hours later. I was told the it would be picked up. When I got home at 6:00 pm my garbage was not picked up. I call the office and left a message for someone to call me back. I did not get a call back I had to call them. The person I talked to Stephanie was rude and did not apologize. I called my service and am waiting my refund, that I had to pay 3 months up front for.

I have asked for a new trash can for 4 weeks.
I started asking for a new trash can 6/17/18 by email, spoke to *** 6/22/18 and she stated we would receive a new one 6/22/18, we did not. Emailed again 6/27/18 with no response. Spoke with *** 7/3/18 @ 1:15pm & she said she would call me right back to let me know when we would get a new can, she never returned call, my husband called and left message 7/4/18, no return call. I spoke to *** again 7/5/18 & she said the man was out delivering cans & put me on hold for 10 min while she called him to see if he could get us one, she said that we would receive a new trash can by 7/6/18 by 10am. WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A NEW TRASH CAN. I cant understand why its so hard to do what you say you will do. When you try to roll the trash can back up to our house THE WHEELS FALL OFF. I said that over & over & even sent pictures in the numerous emails I sent with no response, but obviously they d'ont care. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. ITS A TRASH CAN FOR GODS SAKE. Obviously *** is not capable of handling this type of request for a new trash can. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Scheduled service with them the 14 th of May got my trash can the 17th and my trash was picked up on the scheduled time once. After that I had to call them and make them come back to pick up my trash 2 times and they would come 2 or 3 days late. That happened and it's been two weeks since they have been to my house after they told me they would be there. Now they won't answer the phone (during buisness hours) after several calls! Trash is piling up at my house and I don't have time to take it to the dump!

I apologize about this inconvenience to you. I looked up the account and it shows that it has already been canceled. Once we get the can picked up, we will refund you for the time you weren't serviced.

This company assured me that I would have gotten my trash can on Monday 6/4/18 when I ordered it on 5/30/18. I have paid my money, they appear to be avoiding my phone calls and I fear my health is at risk due to their gross negligence.

I have recently received my trash can.

I've had Curbside for a year now at my new home. Yesterday, they left a full can of trash at my house. I called and left a voice message and no one returned my call. I called back and finally got someone who told me that my trash was not picked up because I had two cans. I've always had two cans and they have always picked it up. The manager asked me to pay $20 for them to come back and informed me that I'd have to pay an additional $30 for both cans after I've had these cans for a year and the trash has always been picked up. They didn't send a note, no phone call, nothing. This is the worse business practices I've heard of. Who leaves trash behind instead of informing a customer of an error. I had to file this complaint so everyone can know what they are dealing with if they have Curbside.

Desired Outcome

I want my trashed picked up before a week and I will not pay $20. In addition, I want to inform the public of their business practices and the manager's attitude towards the issue.
