My name is Richard, And very disappointed with the lack of assistance that I got from Ms Christine who I was referred to as the upper management personal that help me recover my deposit that I paid for my mother Ms Gertrude Mc Intosh who is no longer here she passed away on 9/9/20 may her soul rest in peace. We were given until the end of that month to have her belongings removed so the complex could get the unit ready for rent . During the walk through my family members were told that all was good and that we could exepect to receive the full deposit back which should have been $665.00. Ms Christine was given the necessary info to have the deposit check mailed to me but after a month I still had not received this check . I touched bases with Ms Christine and she told me that the check posted and it has not been cashed, so we both agreed that check would voided and another one would be posted. I gave her my info again a less than a week I received the check instead of the $665.00 which I was expecting to get the amount was $302.00 which was $363.00 less than what I was expected. When I inquired what happened I was told that I was being charged $150.00 for cleaning, $50.00 for replacements and $163.00 for unpaid rent . Now to me $150.00 being charged for cleaning an apartment in which cleaning is apart of any type of turn over so I find it hard to believe that my mother's place would need that much cleaning because she stayed with my sister for the better part of 7 out of the 12 1/2 months that she was there and the reason she spent so much time at my sister's was due to one of the worst mold infestations ever reported at that location. The mold ruined her whole living room set which was thrown out about 3 months before she passed thank God she passed of natural causes but who's to say that the amount of mold that she inhaled while there with management as they assessed the issue. Was I being charged for the cleaning treatment for the which was not caused by my mother who knows maybe I was maybe not. The insensitivity came when I went to the bank to deposit the check and the person helping told me that the check could not be deposited because it was made out to my mother and because her name was first on the check they could not help me. So on top of being embarrassed standing there feeling insulted and thinking how could anyone be so cold-hearted by making this worthless because it is made out to my mother my eye began to swell as I walked out of the bank where I did shed a few tears before I called Ms Christine and I shared with her what had just happened . She apologized to me for the mishap and she assured me they she would take care of this for me by having another check cut for me with my name only. That was in mid march I have left messages with Mc Christine but I have yet to receive a reply or a check from this company. This is so unprofessional and I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with this company's personnel handling of this matter and the company as well if they charged me for cleaning which the company is responsible for doing as part of it's turn over process. If anyone feels the need to reach out to me about receiving my deposit which would be greatly appreciated and so welcomed.
