Review: Received a bill dated 5-25-2010 for my fully insured disabled adult daughter. Called the office immediately with a very rude, "Office Manager" who refused to connect me with billing, she stated the Doctor made her in charge of these calls. I explained that 1. this bill was 5 years old. 2. I've never heard of this doctor. 3. Why had I not received bills prior, because I jump on these things immediately. 4. Her claim was that my insurance refused payment of the bill, my daughter had seen this doctor during a lock down stay at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. 5. I expressed concern of why this bill was declined. She basically told me that she would document that I refused to pay and that it would be sent to collections. I then contacted my insurance company that we no longer belong to, Blue Cross. They stated that they directed the office to bill Bristol Park Medical, which they did. However, Bristol Park requested a copy of the medical report that this doctor claims he did and this "Office" never submitted the report, hence no payment. I then called the office again, 949-521-6060, asked for billing, again the same woman picked up the phone. I was again told that she was the only person I could talk to, she didn't appreciate being yelled at for 2 days in a row (I'm understandably upset being threatened by collections of a 5 year old bill), that Blue Cross had already contacted them and now her Doctor, may never receive payment! I'm not quite understanding why their negligence is my responsibility and this woman continues to threaten me with collections.Desired Settlement: I would like this office to accept responsibility for their actions, zero out this account, send me a copy/letter that this has been handled and the Doctor be notified of the unprofessionalism/threats of his office manager. My concern is that this angry, bitter, controlling woman may use her power to mess with my credit!
