November 25th, I had 1-800-GOT JUNK come out to my condo and remove a dresser and kitchen dinette with chairs. They were very careful in moving the furniture from my home to the truck. Before they left, I indicated that I wanted the dresser with mirror to go to ***, they said they do stop at all the charitable businesses, ( ***, ***, ***) before actually dumping what they haul off from homes to the dump. I had told them that I needed the dresser removed and taken to *** because I had new furniture coming. *** wasn't able to do that until early January. I lost a pair of X-MAS party tickets with the mirror. *** in Maple Shade, NJ on Rt 38 said no truck arrived there. Because 1-800-GOT JUNK "LIED" me is a reason why I won't use them again. 1-800-GOT JUNK lies to their customers and charges too much for what needs to be hauled off. NOT WORTH MY TIME!!!!

The workers were unprepared for heavy lifting. We did all of the work for them. They left to empty the truck and returned hours later while we waited. The office staff offered no help with my concerns and do not return phone calls or emails. I will never think about using the service again and will not recommend them to anyone. Stay away!!!

I phoned and received same day service and they arrived on time. The 2 young people were courteous and friendly and I was satisfied with the service until the end when I was charged double the price quoted at the beginning of the job. At this point, all the items I was getting rid of were in the truck. I felt scammed! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I was given a estimate of $159 over the phone by customer service and I was charged over $300 for items I could have had removed for less but because it took them over 3 hrs to pickup they lefte no choice but to use them and my window was 5-7 and they showed up without a call at around 830 PM. Very poor way to conduct communication and also very shady way to give customers an estimate. Over priced and no follow through by the company and would not recommend.

First time trying to use this company. Scheduled appointment window was 12:30-2:30pm. They called at approx. 2:30 to tell me they were running late and still had another job to get to another hour away. At approx. 4:40pm received a call they could try to make it to my place in yet another hour. I cancelled the service. Customer service called back to offer discount and another pick up time the next day. Once again the pick up never occurred as they were late AGAIN. Called individual making the pick up to cancel and he hung up on me as I was speaking. Will never use this service again and certainly would not recommend to anyone else.

I was quoted a price of $180. And when they arrived they told me the cost would be close to $600. WHAT?? It was hard enough coming up with $180. There wasn’t even that much! I was originally told I would be able to fill the truck for $180. There was already junk from another place in the truck. They took only appropriately half of the junk I had and charged me $238. (They took $25. off). I assumed they would stack the stuff since I was also told they went through it and took what was useable to give to the homeless or sell outright which I had no problem with. I called the home office and was told that I shouldn’t have been given a quote and the driver does that when they arrive!! They said someone would call me the next day to discuss this but of course no one did!! Buyer Beware!! I feel like I was scammed and they do this to everyone. They quote you a low ball price and charge you top dollar when they arrive hoping you’ll pay because now you’re left with half your junk!! Would have been cheaper to rent a dumpster!! NEVER AGAIN!!

They scammed us into signing a Credit Card Authorization form that had in the "amount" section "TBD" (To be determined). Then they charged us twice for their services that they promised would be done in one truck and in one day. Don't be fooled, if you do business with them have a "not to exceed" contract and don't sign any credit card authorization unless they specify exactly how much. They literally charged twice the amount they told us they would and when I tried to dispute the second, unauthorized charge, our credit card company was unwilling to help us telling us in a letter "If you still want to dispute the charge, please contact the merchant and work directly with them. At this time, we consider your case closed." This, in spite of my carefully documenting and giving plenty of evidence that the second credit card charge was unauthorized and without our knowledge and consent. Bottom line is probably that it's best not to do business with this company unless you have contractual assurances that they won't do to you what they did to us.

Horrible company. I was scheduled for a junk pick up and no one ever showed up. First they called at 7:30 in the morning and asked to come then. Well there are other factors involved and I told them we must stick to our scheduled time. The time arrives and no one comes. I recall the people on the truck and they tell me they have been taken off the job and it has been assigned to someone else. I had stated when I make arrangements that I would have the freight elevator from 10:30 to 12:30 and at that time someone else was moving in. When I received a call back they said that they could come at 12:30. At this time it as too late to use the freight. I received a run a-round when I called their customer service and the blame was put on me. I talked to two people to try to re-arrange a new time.
Someone should teach these folks good customer service. They because of their scheduling conflicts the customer should not have to suffer. A word to the wise do not use this company or if anything goes wrong you will be to blame.

Worst company ever! Don't be fooled by their "bonded and insured" title. I hired them to move my fridge. The crew member didn't protect my hardwood floor, causing scratches in several locations. The local manager said to send him the estimate for repair/replacement. I sent it in after a few weeks. Then he dropped off the face of the earth. I contacted customer service but got no response. I tried again and again. Finally after several months, the local manager contacted me telling me to send him the invoice after the repair. After I paid $700 for the repair, the local manager lied again and again about sending a check. Now, 7 months after the damage, we see no chance of getting paid. Learn from our lesson and never ever hire this company to move anything. They won't pay you a dime if they damage anything.

This is one of the worse companies I've ever encountered. They gave me three different prices, from $129.00 to $275.00 all which were very high to remove a small item from my property. I hired a local small business to do it for $90.00 Stay away from this scammer co. and bait and switch experts.

Buyer be ware. Spoke to this company 3 times telling them about the junk that needed to be hauled away. Told them that it included a TV not once did they mention the additional fee and they know better. Have had problems with this company before. Just be aware, even if you tell them repeatedly as I did the situation they will be deceptive. I just want honesty from the onset.

Have no problem with the guys who showed up. They took at what I had, told me it would be $290.00, Thought it would be a little high as they say they price by the size of the load. After watching them just toss the stuff in the truck, it was time for the paperwork. I was told pricing was by the size of the load, The load I had barley covered the back of the truck. I was under the impression that they put the stuff into some way to minimum the space in the truck. They just throw the junk in the tuck and were down in 10 minutes. VERY DISAPPOINTED. WILL NEVER USE THIS AGAIN. TOTAL PRICE WITH TAX $309.21 TOTAL TIME AT MY HOUSE 10 MINUTES. SHOULD RENAME THEM 1-800 GOT JOKE.

Do Not use "Got Junk". They will NOT quote you the correct price over the phone. They called me a day ahead of their arrival to give me some price between $125 and $600!!? I had some time constraints and therefore did not cancel, hoping I would be near $125 for a couch, loveseat and 1 Chair. They charged me $300! Which is outrageous!. I really was under a time constraint as I had family coming into town etc. I would never ever recommend Got Junk to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

I went on line to schedule an appointment. My time was suppose to be between 12-2. They called at 10:18 stating they had a cancelation. NOT MY problem but suddenly I had to spring into action and rush to the bank. After watching the video on line about pricing I estimated $200-$225. The truck appeared 3/4 FULL of someone else’s junk when they arrived. They charged $300 stating the prices on line were not the same as their pricing and they called their boss who said my max price I had on me was okay~ $300!! Forget about ANY recycling since they bashed everything up with a sledge hammer and dumped it all in on top of the pile of junk. This was a far cry from my first experience with this company, 6 years ago.

I purchased a *** bag, made by ***. In my area, *** contracts with Got Junk to pick up the bag. The bag was supposed to be removed for under $300, no later than Tues 8/1. On Monday the driver arrived to collect. However, the driver claimed that the bag was over filled, and he would not collect unless I was on premises to sign a waver and pay an additional fee. The driver did not tell me when he would be arriving and it was impossible for me to meet him therefore he refused to collect it. More importantly, THE BAG WAS NOT OVERFILLED!
After several phone calls, and emails to WM, I was able to send them my photographs, which proved that the bag was indeed not overfilled. *** contacted GOT JUNK, and informed them that the driver was to pick up the bag as is, and no additional fee was to be charged. The driver arrived on Wednesday 8/2 for A SECOND TIME! Once again, he did not call me in advance so I could not be present, and this time, despite explicit instructions from WM and GOT JUNK dispatch the driver again refused to pick up the bag, still claiming that it was over filled!
Long story short, I was forced to move the bag on my own, and pay someone else $500 to have it removed. Furthermore, I received a $100 ticket from the sanitation dept for having the garbage left out visible--the garbage that GOT JUNK was supposed to have taken!
Do not use GOT JUNK, there are so many other competent and honest companies out there!
