* BUYER BEWARE! * Do NOT engage in business with this man /or his company. He has taken some very valuable large appliances from me and acted like they had already belonged to him when I asked them to be returned back to my premises. *(They were supposed to keep for resell ,anyway no matter where they were physically stored). When he took them, he also conveniently NEVER even provided me a recorded documented listing of them in return to give me, either!
Nothing! He claims that he only gives you a piddly 35% of your own items if they are stored there of anything over $20,yet doesn’t even document them to give you upon removal.)
When I stressed to him that these particular items were never supposed to leave the house premises, and needed them to be returned and placed in the garage he just claimed that it was too late and they « were recycled already! » BS.

He has them and plans to make a 100% profit on them. A large Dishwasher,Stove &Oven combo,Large Microwave,&Treadmill, amongst other things.
*(He verbally downplayed the value of all these things too.)

He also still has $2,000.00 of mine for advanced services not yet done, and has already deposited back too. He claims that he shall return it, yet he has NOT done so, nor can even provide me an expected date, either!
Do NOT do business with him. He is a scam artist

Ms. [redacted], thanks for your email.  Yes, I am confirming my complaint was not resolved with the business (1-800-JunkRefund) which has refused to return my phone messages and emails for months after promising to (1) send me a check and (2) send me charitable donation receipts for the items of mine that it sold or donated, respectively.
I contacted you by phone because I think I accidentally clicked on a button on the Revdex.com website indicating the matter was resolved but, as noted, it was not.
Thank you,
[redacted]

We used Junk-Refund about 2 years ago for the first time with a coupon when we were starting to clean out our house to list it for sale. They were so efficient, trustworthy, and hard working that we called them back for the final clean out last week...for THREE days. All together we had them remove 4.25 full truck loads. They took some to the dump and some to our Goodwill, giving us all the receipts for tax purposes.

I'm never at a loss for words, but they are better than I'm able to explain. Junk-Refund may be the very best business we've ever dealt with. Alan Cook really knows what he's doing. We can't believe how efficiently they moved huge furniture down our 24-step flights of stairs in our 160-year-old home in the icy rain and frigid temperatures. They brought all the tools they needed to take or break things apart, while salvaging everything that could be sold or donated. Not once did they complain or lose their pleasant and fun attitude. We actually enjoyed the experience. My daughter had used a company with 3 young men when she moved and they walked out without finishing when they were challenged by much easier tasks--and they had demanded payment in advance.

We don't mind paying the bill when a company exceeds expectations. Alan Cook and Junk-Refund absolutely did that.

Three months after removing three truckloads of items from my house at a market rate fee for removal, I have received no refunds. The firm states that they advertise & try to sell items, refunding a percentage to the customer. Although some of the items removed probably had no market value, there was some expensive furniture & antiques in good condition. I can only conclude that either they sold some items without refunding any of the proceeds or made no attempt to sell & simply dumped these items.

Review: Alan C[redacted], President, gave me an estimate of $3,840.00 for the removal of all contents of home at [redacted] He emphasized the quality of his service in providing a list of all items removed, a list of all items that he will sell and provide 35% to 50% of selling price as rebate to me, and the receipts of all items that he will donate to charitable organizations. On 5/17/14, I provided $1,750.50 for downpayment to Alan C[redacted] and he provided a receipt for this payment. Mr. C[redacted] came to the home on 5/27/14 to instruct his crew on the handling of the job. He commented again on the quality of several items; e.g. magahony furniture, bed mattresses and pillows, TV, microwave oven, etc. and repeated that he would provide the rebate on all items sold and that he would follow-up with the paperwork as soon as he returned to his office. Upon completion of the removal of the items, I provided $2,100.00 payment for the balance and requested from Mr. C[redacted] a receipt for payment of the balance, list of items removed, and the list of items to be sold as well as separate list of items to be donated. I telephoned Mr. C[redacted] on June 3rd and again on June 11th requesting that this information be provided. Even though he has promised to take care of this right away, he has failed to do so. Now, I am concerned that most of the items have been sold or donated and Mr. C[redacted] has had no intention of providing me a rebate for the items sold nor receipts for the items donated.Desired Settlement: Some sanction should be imposed upon this company to have them discontinue the misrepresentation of their service. Also, I would like to receive the rebate for the items sold and receipts for those items that Mr. C[redacted] donated
