Incompetent and cannot be trusted
*Make sure you put an Apple tag or another geo location tracker with your stuff so you know where it is. They will not tell you with any accuracy or honesty. And only the dispatch manager knows what’s going on so make sure you ask for them if you want to know where your stuff is.

I had no problems ordering for a cross country move with them. They even dropped off the container and provided good communications until after they picked it up. The problem was once they had my container and were supposed to transport it.

They waited 19 days from the time they picked it up to begin to ship it. Which is one day from the time they were supposed to deliver it. I had been calling asking why it had not moved (5 times) prior to it shipping. Each time they said it’s on schedule and not to worry even though no one checked on it. 7days before it shipped, I calculated it was impossible for my container to arrive on time (11hrs driving limit per day which is approximately 600-650 miles and a day for transfer to local service for delivery). I called and they agreed and revised the date by adding an additional 8 days to the delivery time. 8 days later and it’s still not here. I call but there’s no urgency in their response.

They keep telling me they’re sorry but it happens. It’s the busy season. The truck broke down (really). The carrier never got scheduled. Hard to believe. The family is suffering and stressed out. No idea how much longer it’ll take them to deliver.

Run don’t use this company!!!!!
Horrible! I am 65 years old and I can honestly say this is the WORST company I’ve ever dealt with! If I could give it a 0000 I would!
Unless you want to spend hours trying to get in touch w this company and even more time disputing the many overcharges on many separate occurrences DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

This company needs a zero for their customer service and professionalism they don't deserve a 1 star and need to be put out of business and does not care anything for their customers this company is sending out Auction notice to customers that are not even 2 full months behind b/c they are greedy and money hungry and wanna collect the money before the economy falls they are putting their loyal customers in a postion to pay now are lose their item in storage at a time of the Coronavirus Pandemic when the usually don't send out these notice of auction until you are two full months behind they want money when people cant leave their home and not able to work in stead of having a heart for your customers who is keeping your company in business give them a break I do understand that bills have to be paid but for this company to send these notices and scare their customers is wrong when usually they don't send these notice until 2 full months not a month not 15 days and not a month in a half. This company is sad and I am not even a customer but I am a family member of a customer who is old age and is in extreme panic about receiving this notice of auction when she and her husband never received a letter in the past and they are on a fixed income so they pay every other month but never received a letter of auction until now.most companies are sending out letters of concern and sending letters telling customer to be safe are we going to work with you every step of the way but 1800 PACK RAT are sending customers auction letters instead of encouraging letters to their customer. This company do care they want their money they are not concern with what is going on in the economy right now as I was doing my research this company has nothing but bad reviews on every review website about their customer service. And for the customers who accounts are up to date on payments if something happens where you cant pay please make necessary arrangement now for your storage items b/c if you don't pay they are not giving you no more than 2 months to before you go into auction and you will have to pay the full past due payment before they will even consider taken your money. y'all be safe and thanks for reading. Get your belongings out of storage with this company 1800 Pack Rat if your items are value to you immediately are they going to auction by all means they don't care if you are not working or don't have any income due to the Corona Virus Pandemic they wanna get paid. The representative she spoke with told her to pay months in advance so she want have to worry about this bill if it comes to the point her income get cut off I was just listening and at that point I had to take over the call this gentleman know he was trying to meet a quota and did not care if it could have been someone treating his parents or grandparents wrong and trying get all their fixed income money. This company is very bad for business.

February 21, 2016Dear [redacted] :We received a complaint identified by the above-referenced numberThe complaint was addressed to “Nicholas M [redacted] Mirabito Properties Inc.” and was from a tenant named [redacted] Please be advised that Mirabito Properties Incwas not a landlord for *** [redacted] and Nicholas M [redacted] is not affiliated with Mirabito Properties Inc.The correct landlord for [redacted] is Mirabito Brothers Properties, P.OBox ***, Williamsport, PA ***Mirabito Brothers Properties (MBP) has rented to [redacted] several times over the course of multiple years [redacted] is familiar with the lease which he signed.Attached to this document are the relevant pages from the lease agreement with language regarding the issues [redacted] has raised in his Statement of the ProblemPursuant to the contract, the tenant agreed that the landlord would be permitted to withhold money for carpet cleaning and trash removal [redacted] ’s allegations regarding the cleanliness of the apartment are false.Please be advised that MBP returned [redacted] ’s security deposit in compliance with Pennsylvania lawFurther, if [redacted] believes that his rights have been violated, he may file a complaint with the magistrate.Unfortunately, [redacted] had issues with other tenants in the building and apparently is taking his problems out through unsubstantiated accusations against his landlordThis is regrettable.If we may be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact usThank you.Sincerely, MIRABITO BROTHERS PROPERTIES

I am rejecting this response because: My issues with other tenants has nothing at all to do with my ACTUAL complaint My complaint is that I cleaned that apartment and the Landlord is saying that I didn't clean the apartment and I provided other evidence from other tenants in regards to the landlord making accusations about how the apartments are left and then the landlord taking out 'cleaning' fees My other acusation was the amount that was charged for carpet cleaning which the landlord did not address I moved out on 12/21/ The inspection of the apartment did not take place for almost a month afterwards in which in the meantime the lardlord continued to show the apartment to prospective tenants as I had left the apartment.My issues with other tenants in the building is not the purpose of this complaint and the landlord needs to be told this

I am rejecting this response because:Pack Rats response to our complaint is a gross misrepresentation of the facts.  
Fact 1     Pack Rat delivered our rented steel container to our new home in Fort Myers, Florida with two large holes and substantial denting to the left side.
Fact 2     The Pack Rat driver in Austin, Texas, stated to us that he picked up our container in Pflugerville, Texas and it did not have holes and dents on the left side.  The pod left our house in Pflugerville in good condition!
Fact 3     We would not be ignorant enough to put our valuables in a damaged container, where rain could enter during transit to Florida.
Fact 4     We went to not one, but three local furniture stores and assigned fair replacement value to the many items that were damaged in the Pack Rat pod. Damages estimated at $4,089.00.  
Fact 5     We filed a claim, with pictures of all damaged items still unmoved from the container, in August of 2013, to the Pack Rat Claims Division.

We’ve been in communication with this customer in hopes of
reaching an amicable resolution. While the incident occurred because of
improper packing of items, 1-800-PACK-RAT would like to pay for his broken
items as a customer satisfaction credit. The customer has declined...

and has
asked that we pay for his lawyers and the entire cost of his move in addition
to the damage of his contents. We feel we were being very fair in our offer to
replace the customer’s broken items as it was not a result of an accident
during his move but rather the way the customer packed and loaded in the unit
