1-800-Water Damage

February TX had a freeze storm. I had several pipes to burst and my Insurance company recommended 800WD through the claim. Stacy R and her team came out and they removed the drywall at that time everything was great. She stated that they would be back to bring fans and will also replace the installation in the attic that got wet. Well after about a week or so I emailed her twice w/no response. I even waited and patient due to all the weather claims. Finally, after three weeks went by with NO communication I called her in which she answered and stated that she never got my emails (but prior email communication was no problem). Ok, sure not big deal! She assured me that she would have someone out to do the installation, because by this time I didn't need the fans. As, of today 4/9 with even a text message sent I still have not heard anything. I hate that this is the outcome since the experience was ok in the beginning. Makes me want to never take my Ins suggestions again. Horrible customer satisfaction and I would not recommend this company. I even sent the company an email for assistance and still no response. I assume my Ins company has paid them for the drywall removal therefore Stacy feels like she doesn't need to respond. The Ins company should contact the homeowner before any payments are made to assure satisfactory!

We were referred to 1-800 water damage by our insurance agent. I called on a Thursday afternoon 5 days after the storm occurred as we did not discover the backed up downspout and water leakage in our lower level until then. The agent from the company called shortly after my call and said they were in my neighborhood and would come by if ok which it was. They arrived reviewed the water logged carpet spent 5 minutes said we will move the furniture, tear out the carpet in the 14 x 20 room and dry the room coming back on a Friday for an estimate of $1500-2500. I moved the furniture completely, took out the carpet and pad and they arrived on Friday. They brought in 11 air dryers which we were not told the cost per machine, a large dehumidifier, and proceeded to remove sheet rock closed to the floor. They plugged in the dryers to a swtch that controlled the outlet and when they left they turned off the light switch such that only half the machines ran during the weekend. I uncovered their mistake on Sunday moved the dehumidifier, and kept 1/2 the machines turned aff as they blew the breaker when turned on. On Monday they arrived spent 30 minutes picking up the machines and left. I received a call telling me my bill for services was $2184.00 about 3 weeks later. I asked for an itemization and they outlined the “emergency call”, 11 machines at a per day cost, humidifier per day and sheet rock removal. To repair the sheet rock they removed was $275.00, and I moved most of their machines upstairs prior to their arrival since they were not plugged in. After complaining that I did the majority of the real work, they adjusted my bill by 10%. Do not use this company. They are a real rip off. If I had been home when they brought their blowers in I would have had them removed. Instead my wife did not pay attention to what they were doing and proceeded to take advantage of her and then had the audacity to call it an emergency call. Buyer beware of this company, don,t let them do what they propose you do or do without your approval and full understanding of the purpose. Unfortunately during an emergency our 1-800 water damage people take advantage of their customers. Please learn from our mistake with this company!

My wife was pregnant with our twin girls at the time, so they made sure to take the necessary precautions to make sure any of the debris didn't contaminate our house, particularly because the leak was right between our front door and our kitchen.

They got to our house quickly so the leak didn't cause major damage, and treated the issue seriously.

To be honest, I was a little wary about using someone I didn't know, but am really glad we used them instead of the guys our insurance guy wanted to use.

Our leak is fixed, we don't have any water damage, and now our biggest worries are whether our 11 week twin girls will sleep through the night or not! :)

[redacted] and [redacted] were very quick to respond to my wife's phone call. [redacted] came out and looked at the mold damage and then responded to us with a quote and estimated time to complete. [redacted] came out soon after we agreed on the quote. The mold removal was done in what appeared to be a very high professional standard. They were thorough yet tried to be considerate of the fact that they were removing part of our finished basement and only removed what was necessary. They put down drop cloths on the path that they walked in the basement and when they completed the work they removed everything they brought with them. (They even took some bush trimmings I had left laying outside! talk about going the extra mile!) No one wants to have to deal with mold but [redacted] and [redacted] at least made the process painless. Fair price too.

[redacted] and [redacted] were awesome! Responded quickly and were very knowledgeable. Did an amazing job and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Price was fair and reasonable. Would recommend them to anyone! So thankful I called them!!

This company was incredible to work with. I was referred to them by a friend that had worked with them before. [redacted] came out and spent over an hour instructing me on what was needed to remove mold from my Mom's townhouse. There had been a lot of moisture in the basement and it had to be removed prior to selling it. He gave me a very reasonable quote compared to two other companies and once I gave him the approval to start, he started within a week. He does what he says he will do and with no hidden charges. The invoice was the same as the quote even though it was a little more involved in one area. Completion time was only a few days, mainly due to drying time near the back exterior of the townhouse. Everything was done in a timely manner and very responsive with information and return phone calls. Very prompt with all appointments.I highly recommend this company.

Cannot say enough positive things about [redacted] and 1-800-Water Damage. We used their services when the water line to our refrigerator broke and wreaked havoc on our kitchen floor & the basement below. [redacted] is prompt, friendly, hardworking, and professional. He worked directly with our insurance company to make the process as painless as possible. This is definitely who you want helping you when you have to deal with a homeowner headache like we did!

We were very pleased with the professional job that was done. Everyone was sympathetic to our situation and they worked late the first day to get the situation under control. Highest marks.

1-800-Water Damage was great. They came out at 10 PM on the night the leak occurred. Worked quickly and efficiently. Great service throughout the entire process, from drying up the water damage to the rebuild.

[redacted] and [redacted] deserve 10 stars! I called them when my parents' condo had been damaged by water and the service they had was not getting the job done. I was concerned for their health. Despite the fact that they were busy with broken pipes all over town, they made time to visit them with a couple hours of my call on a Sunday night! The damage had grown due to the incomplete response by another company. [redacted]'s team went right to work once we had approvals, always on time, always professional and very thorough with all of the equipment and personnel needed for a thorough assessment and complete response. They communicated frequently with both me and my parents to keep us up to date, as well as with the insurance company and the condo management firm. They coordinated everything that had to be done to get them back to the way they were prior to the water damage. Today you would never know that it happened and I feel confident that there are no health risks lurking in the walls or the floors. Not only do they do a great job, they care about the people they are helping. I received a call from [redacted] letting me know my mom was very upset after receiving what she thought was a negative letter from the insurance company. He was concerned that she was not doing well, knew I was working out of town and wanted to know what he could take her. You don't find people like that every day. So, don't hesitate to call [redacted] and [redacted] when you have water damage - the quicker it is taken care of appropriately, the less damage and expense you will have!

1-800-water damage does an excellent job. they resolve my issues in a very quick and professional manner. they are very good about cleaning up once they are finished. they were always available to talk to me when I had questions. they are very courteous and professional and easy to talk to. I definitely would recommend them without question at any time.
