Mr [redacted] is factually incorrect in his complaint For the Revdex.com he claims that he was quoted $and yet on [redacted] he claims that he was quoted $ In neither case was he quoted anything other than the $85/hr diagnostic fee Effective January 01, 2013, the City of Las Cruces adopted a new plumbing code that requires changes to the way new water heaters are to be installed Because each residence has a unique configuration, there is no possible way for us to accurately estimate the cost over the phone Mr [redacted] ***'s residence required four upgrades For all our customers, a permit is pulled to ensure that we have met all code requirements This is for their health and safety As it turns out, the inspector noticed a gas leak which we later located on the furnace, not the water heater It was repaired and Mr [redacted] was not charged for this extra service As to the cost, Mr [redacted] insisted that he have his water heater installed in spite of the work running into after hours We finished at approximately PM to accommodate his request Attached is the invoice with his signature accepting the work and the product He did not express any concern about this to the plumber on site and paid upon completion of the work that night He said nothing to the office staff when scheduling subsequent visits to make corrections and look for the gas leak He also did not say anything to the owner when he went to ensure that the modifications met the code requirements Had he given us a fair chance to to respond in person, we could have explained it in detail and avoided this public response to his cowardice
