I am a year-old, soon to be mother of a baby girlI am months pregnant and time was ticking for me to get a carI was scrambling trying to figure out what I was going to do because I didn't have enough money to buy a brand new car, and I couldn't afford to get a "hoopty" either, being I needed a vehicle safe for me and my baby as wellThe mechanic Terry, that works at the quality auto in Stafford, has been working on my neighbors car for yearsWhen I was in the position to get a car of my own, he was the first person my mother calledHe told us to come on to quality auto and I'd be able to find a car for the money I hadSo, That same day, my godmother (she matched what I had saved), my mother, and I made our way down thereI will admit I was a little apprehensive at first, with the cars that he had out on the lotBut he later that day brought more cars from the auctionAnd bingo, that's when I saw the car for me- a JaguarNow, I don't know very much about cars but this one, in my opinion, and everyone else's was the best car he had to offerMrMohamed K [redacted] gave me such a great deal and actually made me feel like he genuinely cared about finding something that best suited meI came back a couple days later for an up to date inspection, free of charge which, I don't know if that's standard for all dealers since this is my first car, but it was definitely appreciate itI was grateful to have find a dealer that wasn't crooked, and actually have some integrity about himselfI would definitely recommend this dealer to someone in needMy only somewhat of a complaint was how long the process wasWe had spent the whole day at the dealer, 1/of which was spent waiting to be serviced but I can understand where that issue comes from- not having enough help and having all these responsibilities for just one manUltimately, it was un unforgettable experience and I am glad I stumbled up #Quality Auto!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID***,
and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[I am not accepting this offer because that was not told to my husband or myself when we got the carWe were told and I quote "I pay $a month for this warranty that I have on these cars, with that being said, any problems that you have with the truck, you can take to any repair shop and have it fixed with no money coming out of your pocket, the warranty that I pay $a month for will cover any repair in full for the first months or 3,000."
Before contacting the Revdex.com, my husband tried calling the business only to get the run around, he was told to call back, or he'll get a call back, we both have left messages and of course they do not respondI would like for #Quality Auto to stand behind their word, since its a family owned business, and have my truck fixed where I do not come out of pocket, like I was told from the beginningThere was also another party that was there at the time my husband and I was there, and he overheard the salesman say the warranty will cover any and all repairs where I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for anything
In conclusion, I would like my truck fixed or my deposit backIts not fair that they are trying to keep my deposit and not hold up to their wordIf they want the truck back, I want my deposit back, or they can just get it fixed like we were told, and this can done with.]

Revdex.com spoke with the business. This vehicle was purchased "as-is". The customer did purchase a 3rd party warranty that is not part of the dealership but that only covers $1,000.

After speaking with the business I was told that the car was sold "as-is" and that the customer was aware of this when the vehicle was purchased. The agreement was that the balance was to paid in 30 days, it was not paid. At that time the customer's mom called the business to talk about the vehicle,...

she stated her son was not able to pay in that time frame and asked for a payment plan. The business set up a payment plan for 6 payments but the son was not to meet those terms. The next time the business was called concerning this vehicle it was to be told the payment plan could not be met and they wanted to bring the car back and to waive the balance. The business agreed to that but the vehicle has not been returned as of today. The customer was not sold a lemon, he purchased a 2001 "as-is"

I am a 20 year-old, soon to be mother of a baby girl. I am 7 months pregnant and time was ticking for me to get a car. I was scrambling trying to figure out what I was going to do because I didn't have enough money to buy a brand new car, and I couldn't afford to get a "hoopty" either, being I needed a vehicle safe for me and my baby as well. The mechanic Terry, that works at the quality auto in Stafford, has been working on my neighbors car for years. When I was in the position to get a car of my own, he was the first person my mother called. He told us to come on to quality auto and I'd be able to find a car for the money I had. So, That same day, my godmother (she matched what I had saved), my mother, and I made our way down there. I will admit I was a little apprehensive at first, with the cars that he had out on the lot. But he later that day brought more cars from the auction. And bingo, that's when I saw the car for me- a 2003 Jaguar. Now, I don't know very much about cars but this one, in my opinion, and everyone else's was the best car he had to offer. Mr. Mohamed K[redacted] gave me such a great deal and actually made me feel like he genuinely cared about finding something that best suited me. I came back a couple days later for an up to date inspection, free of charge which, I don't know if that's standard for all dealers since this is my first car, but it was definitely appreciate it. I was grateful to have find a dealer that wasn't crooked, and actually have some integrity about himself. I would definitely recommend this dealer to someone in need. Review: 3/10/2014: I bought the [redacted] as is and my mom was with me. I called my mentors mechanic to tell me what to look for on the car and did a test drive on the truck. I had the dealerships mechanic hook a computer up to the car and he said there is no problem with the truck. The oil in the car was also checked. 3/12/2014 Wednesday: The Service Engine Light came on. 3/14/2014 around 3pm: Truck fails Vehicle Emissions Inspection. 3/15/2014: oil change light came on. 3/21/2014: A light in the dashboard called HOLD appeared. 4/18/14: I had my rookie brother drop me off at the [redacted] and I stayed with the car until [redacted] found me a tow. The tow truck came and dropped me off at [redacted] in Norfolk, Va. I received a call from [redacted] 2 hours later and was told the car needs a new engine and the repair on the engine is 6000 dollars. 4/19/14 Saturday at 10:09 am: I called the dealership with my mom on the line. My mom explained the situation. He said that when your son was here that we told him for every 50-60 cars we sell, we give out a 700 dollar warranty to a customer, and your son was picked.Around 6:30 pm: While I was driving, I was making a yield going left (going over 30 mph). All of a sudden, the steering wheel locked, the engine stopped, and the pedal stopped working (it felt like I was popping air). There were cars coming towards me and cars behind me; I had to use all of my strength to pull the car to the right and force it to brake because it would not stop moving. It ended in a parking lot facing a sign that says Private Towing Enforced. Since we used are free tow from [redacted], I would have to come out of pocket.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for being sold a lemon. The truck did not survive for 30 days and it was too much back and for with the dealership's [redacted] and the [redacted] and I was lied to. The dealership did not try to help and have not been responding or answering my phone calls. The dealership made promises, and at the end, did not come through. I have proof, and everything in my complaint is 100% true and I have witnesses.

Review: My husband and I got a car from this company. The gentleman that sold us the [redacted] lied in sales representation about the truck and come to find out that the truck should not have been sold in its current condition that includes a "ticking sound" in the engine. We, my husband [redacted] and I, was told that cyclinder 7 was misfiring and needed to be changed, come to find out it was cyclinder 4. We were also told that the warranty that was provided with the truck would cover any engine problems or any problems that we may have for the first 3 months or 3,000 miles, which ever comes first. I've actually had my truck for a little over a month and I mean for 5 weeks and have not be able to drive it for 3 weeks. We were not told that the warranty company [redacted] only covers up to $1,000 in repairs and apparently, my truck is looking at $3,000 in repairs, as I have already came out of pocket with $140 for the engine for parts not covered in the warranty, which was not told to us. Also, from talking to the car repair service center, this dealership should not have sold me the truck with the "ticking" that my engine is doing and the fact that my truck is overheating could be the result from the ticking in my engine. I've tried talking to the ones that work at #1 Quality Auto and all they care about is getting their bi-weekly payment, they do not care that they are selling bad cars and trucks to people and lying/misleading about their warranty coverage.Desired Settlement: They can either pay to have my truck fixed properly, where I do not come out of pocket with any money as I was told by the salesman or they can refund my deposit of $2,000 and I will happily bring their truck back that should not have been sold in the first place. They can keep the payment made already.

I had contacted this dealership for three days straight regarding a car I was looking to purchase. Today I went to buy the car. I called them before I left the house to make sure the car was still available and they let me know it was. On my way there I called again to make sure the car was still there and to confirm the address. When I get to the dealership they let me know they had sold the car 30 minutes prior to me arriving. I had called yesterday and scheduled the test drive. I do not know after all my planning why they would sell the car I drove 80 miles to purchase. The customer service was horrible. The owner acted like a "oops my bad" kind of guy and then passed me off to his neighboring dealership to deal with and avoided me the rest of the time I was there. This is a terrible business.
