Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/18) */
I believe that this complaint is unjustified for this reason. The property the complaint was filed against is a rental, the tenant called our company to come and clear a clogged sewer line. This call was after hours at approximately 8:00...

pm. We showed up promptly and cleared the line. The tenant told our technician that we were the 3rd plumbing company they had called to fix this problem and the line had been cleared before. We ran a snake down the line pushed the clog through and then ran the entire 100' down the line to make sure the clog was gone. While we were doing this we were running the hose down the line also. After clearing the line our technician had the tenant flush the toilet multiple times with toilet paper in it to demonstrate the line was cleared. During that time we were running the hose also to make sure it was not backing up. Our price for coming after hours running the snake and clearing the line was $200. This is a very reasonable amount for an after hour service call and the problem was resolved right there. [redacted] states that they started having problems 3 days later and then 2 weeks later. We did not receive a call at that time. In fact we did not receive a call until almost 2 months later. We had a suspicion at that time that there may be roots or a collapsed line and this is why they kept having backups and plumbers coming out prior to us, so we recommended that they have the line videoed before we came out and cleared it again, this way we would know for sure what the problem was. The price was to video the line was $300. The next thing we heard was a complaint from the Revdex.com. We do not guarantee old lines like this stay cleared unless we have done a repair or some other work on it. The reason for this is, without videoing the line we cannot determine for sure what the problem is all we know is we cleared the line. We also cannot be responsible for what people flush down their toilets or roots that may be growing back in the line. If they would have called us 3 days later or even 2 weeks later we would have tried to address the problem, but they called 2 months later and wanted us to clear the line again for free. After we cleared it, it worked for 2 months so we did our job and did it well. As much as we hate to have unhappy customers we believe that we did all we could for this customer, we responded promptly and performed the after hours work at a reasonable price and clear the clogged line. So again I believe this complaint is unjustified.
