1 Vision Construction Company, INc

Not sure where to begin with this guy. He is all talk and no work. He cannot track his money and uses it for other purposes besides the job he is paid to do. I know this because his workers on site always expressed their concern about getting paid that week. His initial deposit for a garage foundation was a hefty $8,800. Yet he was telling his guys that I had not paid him therefore the guys were not getting paid. This leads to shoty work. He is also full of excuses as to why no work will be completed for the day. If he did show up, it was always past 12 and wouldn't even put in a full day's work. He would also tell his workers that they were not allowed to talk to me, the homeowner, mostly because he knew I would expose his lies. It took him over a month to finish the foundation and about 3 weeks to do mediocre siding on my house. He then got another deposit out of me because I'm a fool and he decided to just not show up again. He has blocked my number. He has told his workers and subcontractors that if they hear from me, he wants them to tell me that they haven't from him. So he has thankfully left my job site but without completing work and with my money. I wish there were a way to warn the people of Chicago to avoid this thief at all costs.

1 Vision sent me multiple letters to settle and both parties walk away. Now the company is...

demanding another $60K. The owner has little knowledge of the construction business. His father was my primary contact. After encountering multiple incidents where my home was damaged, I did intensive research and learned the father, Rafael Martinez is being prosecuted by the IL State Attorney.
I would be open to arbritration however I welcome taking this matter to court. I was hoping to avoid it but I have no problem testifying before a judge.
