10/10 Optics Reviews (1)

Review: This was one of the most astonishing- bad experience customer services experience I have ever had anywhere. I got a pair of reading glasses over $250 at 10/10 Optics at [redacted]. The frames left temple come out a part the butt strap had a defect from the manufacture - I took the eyewear back to the store and one of me Optician stated that I got a cheap glasses "very demeanor " and that I should get more expense glasses. I could not believe after spending $250.00 for a reading glasses with manufacture issues the Optician have the nerve to tell me that. I come back few days later to talk with the store manager- she was able to take the glasses and I wait over 6 weeks, when I pick up the glasses were totally un balance un able to wear, I left the glasses and I told them that they must be done correctly. After 2 more weeks I come back to pick up the glasses because they did not contact me. The put crazy glue by the butt-strap and I was told that they will be fine. Few weeks later the right temple poop out as the left side in the pass. Same issues in both side. I spoke with the manager store and I was told that they can not help me. Finally, I spoke with the owner [redacted] and I got the same treatment bad customer services - not help at all - in matter of fact she want me to buy a new pair of glasses. She stated that all her glasses in the store have issues. I was in shocked to hear that, I did not want to get eyeglasses that comes with manufactures issues. Overall this eye shop should be closed and to tell every customer that they are selling cheap frames and they will no last.Desired Settlement: I would like to replace the frames. is over $250 that I spend.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint made by [redacted].

I have attached documentation refuting and clarifying his claims. (Please note that the blue color is cut and paste from [redacted]'s complaint),

'l got a pair of reading glasses over $250'

The attached invoice dated 06/**/2009 original purchase was for $200

'The store manager- she was able to take the glasses and I wait over 6 weeks, when I pick up the glasses were totally unbalanced unable to wear, I left the glasses and I told them that they must be done correctly. After 2 more weeks I came back to pick up the glasses because they did not contact me. The put crazy glue by the butt-strap . . . '

The 1st repair for the left temple on 8/**/13 that was done at no charge was sent out to Quick Care, (frame repair and lens customizing specialist). They were picked up on 8/**/13 not 6 weeks later. The repair was not glue on the butt strap but was soldered and welded as noted on their attached invoice. His comments about crazy glue and unbalanced and having them redone is untrue.

'Few weeks later the right temple come off as the left side. same issues in both side. I spoke with the manager store and I was told that by her " they can not help me'.

As you can see on Quick Care invoice dated 10/**/13 he brought back the glasses now with the right hinge broken (same pair from 2009) and we sent them out for same solder and welding at no charge as a courtesy, which he then picked up 11/**/13. He would not sign for them but I asked our optician [redacted] to sign on the invoice, being that he had witnessed the eyewear being by [redacted].

Finally, I spoke with the owner [redacted] and I got the same treatment. She stated that all her glasses in the store have manufacture defect and I need to buy a new pair.

I apologized for his inconvenience and offered to try and place his lenses in a new frame and give it to him a discounted price for his inconvenience, and dissatisfaction. I never said that all our glasses have manufacturer defects! That is ridiculous. However, I did say that all of our products come with a one-year product defect warrantee.

Please see my email to our manager dated November **, 2013 at 11:27AM immediately after he left 10/10 Optics. (I was calling his eyeglasses 3 years old because we had not yet located his record and I knew that we had not had the Shuron Collection for over 3 years. We kept searching for his record and did find it after he left. The original invoice was in Charlotte's handwriting dated 2009 making the glasses not three years old but four and a half years old!).

That evening he spammed reviews of us all over the Internet.

I sent him the email dated 11/**/2013 (attached) to apologize once again,

We have been in business for over 30 years. In our industry I have an excellent reputation for running an honest and ethical business. When I GOOGLE 10/10 Optics on the Internet 95% of our reviews are wonderful and full of happy patients. We do pro bono eyewear for people who are in need. We are good people who speak nicely to those with whom we do business.

I hope that I have answered all of the unfounded attacks made on both my employees and my business. If there are any unresolved issues that I have not addressed or need further clarification, please let me know. I look forward to a fair and honest resolution of this complaint against 10/10 Optics, our employees and myself.
