Complaint101's principal emailed a colleague of mine from an unrelated business in an attempt to collect bill for work that is far less than satisfactory.101's principal [redacted] emailed a colleague of mine from a totally unrelated business and wrote, "I thought I might ask you if [redacted] is out of town or if there are other issues that have caused him to ignore my emails. I am trying to collect an invoice for some work that I have done at his request in [redacted] North Carolina. He has not been responding to my emails and apparently [redacted] (plumber) has had the same problem. I would appreciate any response." He apparently located my colleague through the professional networking site Linked-In. His libelous written comments are highly unprofessional and probably illegal. The work Mr. [redacted] seeks to be paid for is sloppy and incomplete. The paint does not match, the tapped seems are rough and irregular. The rubber toe kick was not properly adhered, and is slopped up with paint and joint compound. We are awaiting our new property manager's inspection report to determine the scope and cost to rectify 101's poor work. This work was allegedly authorized by the prior property manager, [redacted] who has been released due to poor performance. The work was originally billed, at a lower number, by the former PM, on the former PM's bill head. Former PM further claimed that he had already paid Mr. [redacted]. To the best of my knowledge there are no written agreements regarding the initial scope of work, nor price. There is no log of hours, nor an expressed hourly rate contained in the bill. Just a "price" seemingly pulled out of thin air, and an illusory one at that. After my personal inspection on January 30, 2014 and expression of concern regarding the quality of the work to the former PM, Mr. [redacted] claims that he went back and performed remedial work. He then increase his direct bill to us to cover the costs to repair his own work. We are awaiting our new property manager's inspection report to determine the scope and cost to rectify 101's inferior work. Having[redacted], and as a nationally award wining home improvement contractor in [redacted] for 28 years, I don't believe that I have ever seen a more egregious case of a poorly performing contractor utilizing unethical bullying tactics to collect for substandard work. The subject's business ethic is truly despicable.Desired Settlement He needs to issue a full apology letter to my colleague and to me for his inflammatory and libelous email. Mr. [redacted] will need to present an itemized bill, including time log to substantiate his claim. Beyond that he will need to adjust his bill downward to accommodate the required remedial work. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@101buildingservices.comDear Revdex.com,101 Building Services has not conducted any business with [redacted] neither past nor present to our knowledge, we have no records of any such transactions. In order to properly respond to these allegations we will need further information. Sincerely [redacted]Final Consumer Response Mr. [redacted] statement is yet another complete and total misrepresentation. I count no less than nine (9) emails from him to me, beginning January 31, 2014, in addition to the one he sent to my colleague. I would be happy to provide The Bureau with copies of all, if you would kindly advise the correct procedure. He knows full well who I am and the nature of his fraudulent and libelous actions toward me. Should he choose to continue his farcical position here I shall have no choice be to involve all appropriate legal authorities, including the North Carolina Attorney General's office. Final Business Response [redacted] has graciously offered to provide copies of all email correspondence. If there are unresolved complaints I would expect that they would show up in these emails. It is the policy of 101 Building Services to resolve issues within 24 hours of receiving a complaint. If the emails show that there was an ongoing complaint that was not resolved within 24 hours then we were not doing our job. If complaints were handled in a timely manner this may be a case of defamation of character.
