Review: I brought my car to the repair shop for repairs after an accident. They were supposed to replace the headlight, and fender and repair the car to factory specifications, including painting of the vehicle. While they replaced the parts, they did not paint the car correctly, even after 3 attempts, they refuse to do the job correctly.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $1000 so I may get the car repaired correctly.

Good morning,

I am responding to the customer complaint we received. I reviewed the file from June of 2013, and show no signs that he was not happy with the paint work on this vehicle. I do show that he returned to the shop to address some other concerns he had, but nothing about the paint work. I don’t show anything that we attempted to paint his car 3 times as he claims.

I would be more than willing to take care of any issues he may still have if he would like to bring the car back to the shop.

He states he would like a refund of $1000.00 but I am not sure how he would come up with figure. The total of the complete job was $1447.00. The cost of paint labor was $431.20 and the cost of paint & materials was $214.00

But again I am not sure what he don’t like about the paint work.

This is completely false, and they should speak to the in shop geico rep who witnessed it. I consistently complained about the paint job. Its funny it took months for a response I would like a refund of at least my deductible of $500

[redacted] wants his deductible refunded. [redacted] has been asking about saving his deductible since he dropped off the car. We explained to him that we don't save anybody there deducible. Since then, he complained about the job we did on the car. He complained he didn't like the A/M headlight, so we spoke to GEICO to resolve that and install an OEM headlight. We corrected a few other small issues he didn't like, while still saying that we should "save" his deductible.

At the time, we asked the [redacted] of GEICO to come and inspect the car. [redacted] came down and looked over the car. No issues found. The car looked perfect. Now after a few months I find out that he put in this complaint about a paint issue, and looking for his deductible back again.

I'm sorry, but once again we don't save any deductibles. We did a quality job on [redacted]'s vehicle in which we inspected for a quality job as well as GECIO adjuster and as well his [redacted].

this is all nonsense. It was never about the deductible. You can't save face by lying. The paint job was lumpy and felt like sand paper. Yes there was a problem with the headlight. Case and point your prior response says there was no problem now all of a sudden you found the problems. There was a 4 inch gap between the headlight and the body which you had to fix because geico made you. You tried to pass off bad work and hoped nothing would be said. You never fixed the body and you do bad work. I hope people read this and know. Obviously you don't want to do the right thing so good luck and I hope this served as warning to some of your customers. Also btw this complaint was done months ago. It took you over 6 months to respond. Fact is you don't care.
